The quarterfinal round included bottom bulb doorcar racer Randy Biddle Jr., Jerry Brewer, Megan Lotts, Thursday semifinalist Clayton Roberts, and Thursday High Roller finalist Will Holloman.
Biddle Jr. in his Malibu took out the dragster of Brewer, Megan Lotts defeated Roberts, and Holloman had the bye run. With his win, Biddle Jr. earned the bye to the final round leaving Lotts and Holloman to battle for their spot in the $50,000 to win final round.
Holloman defeated Lotts to make his second straight final round appearance at the Triple Crown 25s. While Holloman and fellow finalist Chris Reynolds split the 32 Car High Roller final on Thursday skipping the final round and going straight to the winner’s circle, that would not be the case on Saturday with $50,000 on the line. Holloman laid down .013 total to capture the big win while Biddle Jr. was .013 at the tree and dead on 8 in the loss.
Sunday’s racing action will include a $15,000 to win event along with the season long points championship runoff where the top 64 cars in points will compete for a dragster chassis or a complete engine.
