Southern Big Buck Nationals Returns To No Problem Raceway
February 8-10, 2019 – The Southern Big Buck Nationals presented by Flicker Promotions returns to No Problem Raceway for the sixth year. This year’s main events include two $10ks on the electronics side, and two $3ks on the bottom bulb side. A Test and Tune will be available on Friday followed by an all-run $3k Gamblers race. The all-run event keeps top and bottom bulb cars separated until 8 cars or less remain. When you buy a weekend entry you get to race for FREE on Friday.
“We’re definitely excited to bring this event back to No Problem Raceway. We look forward to it every year” Cody Pollage said. Pollage, co-promoter of the Southern Big Buck Nationals, along with partner Johnny Ezell are expecting a huge turnout this year.
Pollage said, “Last year we were plagued with bad weather and had to re-schedule, but if we get three great days of weather, it’s going to be really good. I’ve gotten calls from all over the Midwest, South Central region, and the East Coast for this event. It’s really one of the best weeks of the year for me. It’s early in the year, and I get to see all my friends and racing family.”
In addition to the main events and Friday’s TNT/ Gambler’s race, there is a practice tree race Thursday night. “We open the gates on Thursday and the practice tree race is for everybody to come together, relax, and have a little fun before we get into the weekend” stated Cody.
On Saturday night there will be a $10,000 to win 64-car shootout for Box racers and a 32-car No Box Shootout with the winner getting $2,500. On Friday and Saturday night there is a Racer Appreciation Dinner. “This is just a way for us to give back to the racers, because none of this is possible without their support. This is just a small way of us saying Thank You and showing some hospitality” Pollage continued.
