Barry Davis wins Footbrake & Pro at Baileyton Free $5K
Super star crew chief Barry Davis gets it done behind the wheel taking both the Footbrake and Pro class wins at the Free $5K at Baileyton Dragstrip.
The first ever Free $5K bracket race at Baileyton “Goodtime” Dragstrip is in the books and Barry Davis was the big winner. The event attracted just under 140 entries making it one of the largest bracket races the track has hosted.
When the smoke cleared, Barry Davis was standing tall. Davis worked his way through the Footbrake ladder to join the Pro class in the quarterfinals. After picking up the $500 Footbrake bonus, Davis drove his 3rd Gen Camaro to the Pro class win over Heath Davis in the final round.

Davis, crew chief for NHRA legend David Rampy, defeated Scott Cowart in the Footbrake final. The win thrust Davis into the quarterfinal round of Pro.
In the quarterfinals, Barry defeated Turner Brown, Ryan Tankersley defeated Chris Martin, and Heath Davis took the win over Heath Bradford.
The semifinals saw Barry Davis defeat Tankersley with a dead-on zero lap to move into the finals. Heath Davis earned the bye to the final round.
To cap off an excellent performance, Barry Davis posted his second straight dead-on zero lap to down Heath Davis in the $5K final round. On a side note, Heath was driving his brother Adam’s car which made the finals for the 7th straight week.
