Texas Triple Tens

He followed that up with his second win of the night taking the $15K Box Shootout victory. After rain washed out Saturday’s racing activities, Harvey’s winning ways continued on Sunday. He reached the fifth round on Sunday before finally losing a round. His .012-pack fell just short ending his streak.

Great American Bracket Race

Fast forward one week to the Great American Bracket Race at Memphis International Raceway. With 450 cars on the grounds, Harvey once again mowed through the field collecting the $10K Friday victory.

Due to several oil downs and a huge car count, the Friday $10K did not finish until Saturday. The delay didn’t affect Harvey as he marched to his second $10K final in seven days. Once again, the talent on hand at Memphis included the best of the best in big money bracket racing.

The win in Memphis marked the second straight year Harvey found gold at the Great American Bracket Race. In 2018, Harvey was the runner up in Sunday’s $20K. He just missed the big win after posting a -.001 red light.

After his double win last week, Curt shared his pride for those who helped him. “I have to thank several people for helping me get here. First my wife Krista Van Harvey and daughter Sabrina for all their unwavering support. Rafter P Construction and all our employees for keeping everything going and their support of our racing teams.”

“Self Motorsports for getting a motor turned around in an unbelievable amount of time and doing what they promised for not one but two motors,” Harvey continued.

Harvey finished by thanking, “Mickey Thompson tires for providing the sticky Mickeys to keep this rolling, Ken Jones Lisa Jones at KJP Carburetors for the best carburetor and Greg Tetreault for helping me through all the madness yesterday.”

With three huge victories in the last week, Harvey now sets his sights on the Dream Team Challenge at the GABR. As a member of the Team Texas Thunder and Lighting team, he joins Cory and Chris Gulitti, Donny Burleson, and Bart Nelson.
