Hastings & Beard Show Out at Big Bucks Nationals
Quaker City Big Bucks Nationals Race Results. Nick Hastings and Michael Beard meet in two finals over the three day weekend.
SALEM, OHIO – Quaker City Motorsports Park hosted their first self-promoted big money bracket racing weekend July 12-14. The event enjoyed great weather and racers turned out to compete for a $5K-$10K-$5K weekend.
The event hosted over 300 cars between the Box and No Box classes. A host of talented racers graced the winners circle over the three day weekend. Nasty Nick Hastings followed his successful weekend at the SFG 500 with another strong performance.
Nick found the winners circle twice at Quaker City winning the No Box class on Friday and Sunday. In both finals, he defeated talented racer and race promoter Michael Beard. Like Hastings, Beard has been in final rounds on almost a weekly basis lately.
Brian Cireddu, also a well known bracket racer, grabbed the big $10K No Box win on Saturday.

Friday Big Bucks Nationals Race Results
Box Final – Sean Serra lays down a 5-pack in the final to defeated Nick Bowman.

No Box Final – Michael Beard grabbed a .013 to .033 reaction time advantage over Nick Hastings but couldn’t clean it up at the stripe. Beard took .023 to go -.005 under his dial-in while Hastings took the win with a -.002 under lap.

Saturday Race Results
Box Final – Nick Craig grabbed the $10,000 win over Justin “Skirt” Vickers. Craig was .017 and one above to Vicker’s .013 and two above.

No Box Final – Brian Cireddu claimed the $10,000 No Box crown after defeating Zach Carrol in the final round by just .001-second. Cireddu was .030 dead eight to Carrol’s .033 dead six in the heads-up 6.38 race.

Sunday Big Bucks Finals
Box Final – Tad Ries claimed the $5,000 victory after defeating Mike Galati in the final round. Ries, in his classic Dodge, used an .018-package to take the win.

No Box Final – In a rematch of Friday’s final, Nick Hastings once again defeated Michael Beard. In another close race, Hastings came out on top of the double-breakout by .001-second. Nick’s .024 and -.018 under bested Beard’s .011 and -.019 under.
