LAS VEGAS, NV- The Thanksgiving Bracket Nationals returned to Las Vegas Motor Speedway over the holiday weekend. Races included Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, and a number of Gambler’s races.
Kevin Heffington (Super Pro) and Mark Kidd (Pro) led the weekend with each picking up two wins at the three-day race. Lori Warden won big after taking the High Roller Gambler’s race win while Andy Schmall won the Low Roller Gambler’s race.
Race 1 Results
Super Pro: Kevin Heffington took the win over Parker Theobald in race one. Heffington had the starting line advantage, .008 to .012, and posted a 4.672 ET over Theobald’s 4.845.
Pro: Ernie Raile took the win over Steve Kachoian in race one. Raile had the starting line advantage, .002 to .047, and ran a 6.532 ET over Kachoian’s 7.445.
Sportsman: Mike Sowell took the win over a red-lighting Tim Jones. Sowell missed the tree but got lucky after Jones’ -.007 foul.
Geezer Gambler: Scott Horsley took the win over Jim Marby. Horsley had the starting line advantage, .045 to .182, and posted an 8.077 ET over Marby’s 5.936.
Race 2 Results
Super Pro: Greg Hicks took the win over Marko Perivolaris in race two. Hicks was given the automatic win after Perivolaris turned on the red light by -.005.
Pro: Mark Kidd took the win over Jesse Debartolo in race two. Kidd had the starting line advantage, .028 to .045, and ran a 6.135 ET over Debartolo’s 6.923.
Sportsman: Dan Reaume took the win over Steve Watkins after Watkins turned on the red light by -.016. Reaume was .022 and ran an 8.960 ET.
High $ Gambler: Lori Warden took the win over Chris Northup in the High Roller Gambler’s race Saturday night. Warden was given the automatic win after Northup was -.007 red. Warden was .012 and ran a 4.614 to Northup’s 4.952.
V Houmard Diecast: Rod Taylor took the win over Dave Dean. Dean had the starting line advantage, .005 to .040, but came up short running a 5.572 to Taylor’s 5.248.
Low Roller Gambler: Andy Schmall took the win over Paul Sanders after Schmall posted a .000 reaction time and a 6.091 ET. Sanders was .033 and ran a 7.943.
Race 3 Results
Super Pro: Kevin Heffington took the win over James Warden in race three. Warden was -.008 red handing the win to Heffington who was .003 and ran 4.631. This was Heffington’s second win of the weekend.
Pro: Mark Kidd took the win over Andy Schmall in race three. With identical reaction times of .016, Kidd came out on top running a 6.125 to Schmall’s 6.059.
Sportsman: Jacob Evans took the win over Tim Jones in race three. With almost identical reaction times, .023 to .025, Evans was victorious running an 8.232 to Jones’s 7.377.
