Nasty Nick wins big at Christmas Tree Extravaganza

Nasty Nick Hastings took home a win and two runner-up finishes at the 3rd Annual Christmas Tree Extravaganza Practice Tree Race.

MANSFIELD, Ohio – Nasty Nick Hastings was the big winner Saturday night at the Walton Trailer Sales Christmas Tree Extravaganza. While David Davis collected the largest payday of the weekend, Hastings made three finals at the Practice Tree race.

The Loose Rocker hosted event provided racers several opportunities to win. The schedule included a $1,500 to win Third Bulb Faceoff, a $5,000 Main Event, a Shootout race, and a huge prize vault.

The prize vault consisted of race entries from some of the biggest races in the country along with tons of vendor prizes from the top companies in drag racing. Racers received free food and drinks while the winners earned big checks and trophies.

Third Bulb Faceoff

The first event of the night was the Third Bulb Faceoff presented by Schuster Paint Works. Racers competed for the $1,500 payday along with a custom helmet paint job.

With three racers left in the semifinal round, Nick Hastings held two entries while Jaeden Durst held the other. Nick took the bye with one entry and met Jaeden with the other to determine the final round pairing.

Nasty Nick was perfect .000 to turn back Durst and earn both the win and runner up paydays!

$5,000 Main Event

Racing action then moved into the $5,000 Main Event presented by Phillips Auto Body. Nick picked up where he left off rolling all the way to the final round again. There he paired against David Davis with $5,000 on the line.

In a classic duel, Nick let go .002 but it was no good as Davis was perfect! Davis’ trip zip light earned him the big win and prevented a Nick Hastings sweep.

Shootout

In the final event of the evening, John Bailey defeated Chris Bear in the final after Bear turned it red.
