Reigning world champ Frank Aragona has been practically unstoppable in 2019. He comes to Maple Grove with wins in his last two events, the U.S. Nationals and the Division 1 Lucas Oil Series event at Epping.

2018 event winner Tom Martino will look to stop Aragona, along with Doug Doll, and Randy Daniels.

DragChamp pick to win:

Frank Aragona – Until someone shows me they can stop him, I’m sticking with a winner.

Super Stock – 58 Car Field

John DiBartolomeo comes into the race hot off a victory at the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals at Norwalk.

DragChamp blogger Brittany Boltz is also in action this weekend!

DragChamp picks to win:

Joe Santangelo – Hard to pick against this guy after the year he’s having.

Michael Iacono – This guy is always in the mix on Sunday.

Marty Rinehart – Marty is a tough competitor that tends to turn on a lot of win lights at Maple Grove.

Shane Oakes returns to the scene of the crime looking to repeat his race winning performance from last season. Allison Doll and Joe Santangelo will be battling for the national championship at Maple Grove as the season is winding down.

DragChamp picks to win:

Joe Lisa – Always a tough out at Maple Grove.

Allison Doll – She’s won a ton this season on the Lucas Oil divisional level, all that is missing is a national event victory.

Anthony Fetch – Fetch always seems to perform well when I pick him!

Super Comp – 56 Car Field

The 8.90 field is tough as always with several recent winners entered including Jason Kenny, Ken Moses, Chris Garretson, and more. New England LODRS runner up Kyle Bigley should also be in the mix.

DragChamp picks to win:

Lauren Freer – Coming off a great bracket race outing in Rockingham where she ran herself at three cars and eventually took runner up honors.

Chris DePascale – Talented racer can get it done whether he’s big money bracket racing or 8.90 index racing.

Jason Kenny – Look for Kenny to make it back-to-back winning weekends after his big win last week at New England.

Super Gas – 50 Car Field

Ray Sawyer Mopar Express Lane Nationals

The national points chase could see a shake up this weekend as a number of racers are chasing points. Ray Sawyer, Charlie Kenopic, Iggie Boicesco are just a few that come to mind.

DragChamp picks to win:

Tom Stalba – He’s been too quiet on the national event scene, I think he’s overdue for a big weekend.

Justin Lopes – Beautiful Chevy Duece would look great in the winners circle.

Ray Sawyer – He won this race last year to put himself in contention for the national championship, he could do the same this year.
