Peyton Januik DragChamp September Car of the Month
18-year-old West Coast racer Peyton Januik wins the DragChamp September Car of the Month contest with her Race Tech dragster.
For the third month in a row we are thankful for DragChamp Nation and their support of the Car of the Month program. This month we are proud to announce our new winner Peyton “PJ” Januik and her 2016 Race Tech Dragster.

PJ’s ride is the DragChamp September Car of the Month winner. She started her racing career at the sand drags in a quad when she was as young as four and continued until she was 10 years old. From the sand drags, PJ moved to Jr. Dragsters at the age of 11 and won the first local race that she entered.
She even finished third in points at her local track and received the Driver of the Year Award. PJ continued her success and won her first NHRA Divisional Wally when she was 14 years old in Jr. Comp. Then in 2015 she won the Jr. ET Finals in the Jr. Comp class.

At 16 PJ was ready to get behind the wheel of her first big car so she eanred her Super Comp license. She traveled with her parents and competed in Divisional events since she was not old enough to enter National events.
PJ won her first Wally in a big car in the Top Dragster class in 2018. She was told that by the NHRA that she was the fastest teenager in the nation when she ran 6.00 at 230 mph. Her quickest time was 5.80 at 245 mph in Seattle that same year.
This year she has made rounds and even made it to the semifinals at an NHRA National in Super Comp now that she is old enough to compete. The winning photo for car of the month is from the West Coast Bracket Race in Fontana.
PJ went the most rounds over the weekend and won the MVP award. She plans on racing the ET finals, Phoenix Divisional, both Vegas races and Pomona to finish the season before leaving for college in January.
PJ will be attending UNR for Bio Medical Engineering.
