Steven Bell wins Factory Stock at Heartland Nationals
Steven Bell earned his second Factory Stock Showdown victory at the 2019 NHRA Heartland Nationals. He defeated teammate Arthur Kohn in the final.
TOPEKA – After the Skillman Motorsports Ford Cobra Jet’s won the first three Factory Stock Showdown events in 2019, two Chevrolet COPO’s battled for the win at the Heartland Nationals. The Stanfield Powered entries of Steven Bell and Arthur Kohn battled in the final round.

Steven Bell would post low ET of the race to take down Arthur Kohn in the final. Bell’s 7.908 at 174 MPH edged out Kohn’s 7.951 effort by four feet.

After a tricky first round on Saturday that saw most competitors blister the tires at the hit, racers were greeted with better conditions on Sunday. Racers dipped into the seven-second zone with ease on Sunday which made for a competitive day.
Bell opened eliminations by winning a pedal-fest over points leader Drew Skillman. On Sunday he easily outran the Mopar of Joe Welch before taking a close win over DragChamp pick to win Bo Butner to move into the final.

Kohn defeated Jesse Alexandra, Chris Holbrook, and Ryan Priddy to advance to his third final round.
Prior to the race, the NHRA Tech Dept. made additional parity adjustments to keep all three manufacturer’s in the hunt. Although the move was highly criticized, it seems to be moving in the right direction. You can see the adjustments here.
