On his path to his second straight Mile High final round, Kevin Moore battled engine problems almost every round. He fought through adversity and drove to the finals. Moore was the DragChamp pre-race pick to win Super Gas.
There he was behind from the start .032 to .018. After driving around Nielsen, Moore turned him loose at the stripe only to to see Nielsen go .01 above for the win.
Nielsen’s .018 and 10.511 left Moore mathematically ineligible after his .032 reaction. Nielsen now has two NHRA Wally’s in the his trophy case. Congratulations to Todd Nielsen on his Mile High Nationals victory.
