Darian Boesch JEGS Allstars Top Dragster Champ
CHICAGO – On a day when Division 4 captured the JEGS Allstars team championship, Darian Boesch contributed by winning the Top Dragster class. Boesch drove his blown dragster past Ed Olpin in the final round to collect his first JEGS Allstars trophy.
The Division 4 representative caught a break in his round one match with Becki Miller. Miller took a .004 to .028 advantage at the start but couldn’t convert on the top end. She took a car length stripe to go -.002 under her 6.68 dial to advance Boesch into round two.
Boesch laid down .015 total against former world champ Jeff Strickland in round two. Strickland wasn’t far behind with his .027 package. The win moved Darian into his first JEGS Allstars final round.
In the final round, Boesch grabbed the starting line advantage .015 to .034. The advantage grew down track as Olpin posted a .049 over 6.849 while Boesch cruised to a .047 over 6.247 for the win.
