Kynon Dinkel JEGS Allstars Top Sportsman Champ

CHICAGO – Kynon Dinkel defeated Lester Johnson in the JEGS Allstars Top Sportsman final round to claim his first Allstars trophy. The win prevented Johnson from winning the Allstars event for the second year in a row.

Dinkel survived close calls in the first two rounds. J.R. Lobner was .008 against Dinkel in round one only to go -.001 under his dial to advance Dinkel to the second round.

Doug Crumlich also left first against Dinkel in round two .011 to .028. At the stripe, Crumlich took the stripe in a close double breakout. Crumlich was -.002 under his dial while Dinkel was -.001 under his dial-in.

In the final round, 2018 JEGS champ Lester Johnson grabbed the lead off the line. But like Dinkel’s other opponents, Johnson broke out handing the JEGS trophy to Dinkel. Johnson drove around Dinkel to post a 6.389 on his 6.44 dial-in while Dinkel turned on the win light with a dead-on 6.487 lap.
