Jeff Dona 2019 JEGS Allstars Super Stock Champion
CHICAGO – Jeff Dona earned his first JEGS Allstars win today at the Route 66 Nationals. Dona drove his SS/HA ’98 Firebird to the win over Aaron Stanfield in the final round.
Dona defeated a red-lighting Wyatt Wagner in round one before pairing against defending world champion Justin Lamb in round two. Lamb grabbed the advantage at the tree .019 to .039 but came up .007 short at the finish. A .010 over 9.790 was just enough for Dona to take down the champ who posted a .039 over 8.909.
The final was a terrific race as Stanfield let go perfect while Dona trailed with a great .005 light himself. At the stripe Stanfield would grab a little too much real estate to lose the double breakout race. Dona posted an -.008 under 9.772 while Stanfield ran out further with a -.020 under 9.770.
