The Biggest Little Practice Tree Race in the Land returns for it’s seventh year. The Practice Tree Hootenanny comes to West Salem, Ohio Feb. 22, 2020.
WEST SALEM, Ohio – The seventh edition of the Practice Tree Hootenanny returns to West Salem, Ohio February 22nd. The wintertime practice tree race attracts racers from seven states and Canada for a chance at big money and a great time.
The 2019 event hosted 143 entries in the Bottom Bulb race while the Main Event topped out at 225 entries. Joel Feaster walked away with the big check and the 2019 Main Event victory. Joining Feaster as a past champion is 2019 DragChamp Top Bulb Top 10 List #2 Matt Dadas who won the Practice Tree Hootenanny in 2014 and 2017.
2020 Practice Tree Hootenanny
After another successful event in 2019, promoters Bryan and CJ Yaeger brought back a couple of specialty races that were added last year. In addition to the Main Event and Bottom Bulb races, the Big Dawg Shootout and N/T Shootout return for the 2020 race.

This is Bracket Racing Elite Animal Eliminator
The Practice Tree Hootenanny, brought to you by Loose Rocker and Jim Feaster Racing, features a $5,000 to win TBIR Elite Animal Eliminator main event. In addition to the big check, the winner will also receive an entry into the St. Patrick’s Classic race. Racers can enter the Main Event up to four times with each entry running $35. First round buybacks are $20.
BTE Labor Day 100K Bottom Bulb Blitz
The World Footbrake Challenge and BTE Labor Day 100K Bottom Bulb Blitz race pays $1,000 to win for a $25 entry. The Bottom Bulb Blitz champion will also earn an entry into the BTE Labor Day 100K! Entries are limited to four max per person with buybacks only $10.
In Motion Solutions Big Dawg Shootout
The In Motion Solutions 64-entry $1,000 to win Shootout comes with a weekend entry to the Spring Fling Galot. The runner-up will earn $400 and a St. Patrick’s Classic entry. The Big Dawg Shootout entry is $40 with a two-entry limit and no buybacks.
Rossler Transmissions & KB Trailer Sales N/T Shootout
The 32-entry N/T Shootout is a winner-take-all race that pays $750 to win. Racers are limited to one entry and no buybacks.
