Big Nasty Practice Tree Whackdown comes to Idaho

The 5th Annual Big Nasty Winter Practice Tree Whackdown returns to Boise, Idaho February 15, 2020. All proceeds this year go to Kyle Seipel.

Guess Who Racing’s Big Nasty Winter Practice Tree Whackdown returns for the the fifth year. The fifth edition will feature a new location as the event moves to the banquet room at Idaho Pizza.

Big Nasty Winter Practice Tree Whackdown

The Guess Who Racing team, consisting of Chris Northup, Andy Schmall, Jamie Schmall, Rayce Kidd, and Seth Mclean, have pledged all proceeds to Kyle Seipel. This is the third year the Whackdown has donated the proceeds to a racer in need.

Last season the event raised $5,000 for Courtney Lynch, a Utah racer’s daughter who was battling cancer. Two years ago, they raised $2,500 to help Kyle in his bout with cancer. This year they hope to raise in more as Big Nasty is once again fighting cancer.

Guaranteed Purse

Both Bottom Bulb and Top Bulb racers will compete for the guaranteed $1,000 prize. In addition to the monies, winners will receive a big check, courtesy of Fastronix, and a custom trophy from Theobald Motorsports. Racers can purchase up to four $40 entries for each class.

The Ultimate Gambler race winner will receive a Spring Fling Million entry valued at $2,000. A three-day Triple $30’s entry at the Spring Fling awaits the runner-up. Semifinalists will receive either a West Coast Classic or SoCal Summer Classic entry from West Coast Bracket Races. Entries for the Gamblers race are $50 each and are capped at four entries per racer.

In a unique twist, the first round will be a best two out of three contest while all additional rounds will be one and done!

Free Food and Prizes

In addition to the great racing and guaranteed purse, the Big Nasty Winter Practice Tree Whackdown will feature free food and tons of giveaways. The free pizza and soda buffet at Idaho Pizza is provided courtesy of All American Towing. Beer is available for purchase.

Race products, gift certificates, and apparel will be awarded to random-drawn entrants. Companies such as Kidd Performance, Drag Race Solutions, Collector Tethers, Murdock Race Cars, and more have stepped up to support the event.

Whackdown Schedule

The event will be held in the banquet room at Idaho Pizza located at 7444 W Fairview Ave. in Boise, Idaho. Doors open at 4:30pm, open practice begins at 5:00pm, and eliminations begin at 6:00pm. For more information, contact one of the members of Guess Who Racing.
