Burnouts and Fireworks filled the air at Kil Kare Raceway on July 4th weekend as the Star-Spangled Banger was hosted and two racers took home the $7,500 to win.
The Star Spangled Banger was hosted at Kil Kare Raceway over the weekend, paying out $7,500 to win both Saturday and Sunday for box racers.
Moser Engineering sponsored the overall points championship of the weekend. 2019 Super Pro World Champion Mikie Sturgill took home the points championship of the weekend, receiving a free center section or axle package from Moser.
J.R. Lockhart found the winner’s circle on Saturday night, defeating Curt Vaultman in the final round for $7,500.
Todd Clark and Walt Crum were the semi-finalists.
The junior dragster final round was between Jacob Leigh and Cadence Soucek, with Leigh taking home the victory.
Mikie Sturgill defeated Jesse York in a brutal final round on Sunday afternoon, taking home the $7,500 victory and locking up the weekend points championship.
Dylan Winters was the semi-finalist.
Junior racers Cadence Soucek and Emily Parker battled it out for the trophy on Sunday, but Saturday runner-up Soucek was victorious and took home the trophy.
