B-Town Winter Throwdown Replaces Winter Blues with Good Times in Baileyton

Ryan Gleghorn and Brody Quick bring big money practice tree racing to Alabama with the B-Town Winter Throwdown January 30, 2021.

BAILEYTON, AL – Practice tree races have become a popular and profitable pass time for drag racers during the winter months. Ryan Gleghorn and Brody Quick realized there was a need for practice tree racing in Alabama, so they joined forces to create the B-Town Winter Throwdown.

The B-Town Winter Throwdown features three separate races that will deliver cash prizes, big money bracket race entries, and giant checks in one day.

Speaking of the event, Gleghorn tells DragChamp, “I’m excited to branch out with a second event in Alabama and team up with my buddy Brody Quick. Everyone knows Alabama has a ton of very talented racers who don’t often get the chance to do a lot of racing in the winter months. Brody and myself wanted to bring that opportunity here so that these racers can compete for some good money and entries into the biggest racers of the year- that they may not have gotten in, otherwise.”

Two Shootouts and the Opportunity to Win More Cash

One shootout will have 32 racers competing for over $3,000 in cash and two entries for GABR events. The winner claims $2,000 and an entry into the Great American Guaranteed Million. The runner up earns $600 and a weekend entry into the GABR Dream Team event.

A bottom bulb shootout gives 16 footbrake racers a chance to show off their skills. The winner picks up a weekend entry into the BTE Labor Day $250K and $600. An entry into the World Footbrake Challenge and $400 will go home with the runner up.
