12/16/20 – Welcome to the DragChamp 2020 Jr. Racer 10-12 Year Old Top 10 List. This week we rank the best 10-12 Year Old racers in the country and crown the 2020 10-12 Year Old Jr. Racer of the Year!

DragChamp 2020 Jr. Racer 10-12 Year Old Top 10 List

1 – Kane Kern

I’m not sure where to start with this young man as his accomplishments are larger than he is! Kane Kern enjoyed a dominate season that saw him compete at eleven different tracks in 2020. He made his way to 28 final rounds in 32 events winning 14 times. Kern won at the highest levels of the sport including victories at the ECF and WCF. Kane won the 8.90 index class at the WCF and was runner-up in the 10 year old class. At the ECF, he won the 10-12 year class. He won three track championships this season and finished 2nd in another.

2– Hayden Land

Hayden Land locked down the two spot in our 2020 year end list after racing to 28 final round appearances and winning 18 of those including four Wally’s. Land won the King of the Track at Atlanta Dragway becoming the first Jr. racer to ever do so. Highlights on the season included a double win in 7.90 and 8.90 in the same day, the Division 2 Race of Champions winner, and the Silver Dollar track champion.

3 – Dexter Gomez

Dexter Gomez enjoyed another huge season in 2020. Gomez’s highlights include a $1,000 victory at Rockingham, a split and quit final at the Kil-Kare Halloween race, a no split $2,000 victory at Keystone, a victory at the Pacemakers Halloween race, a win at Triple Tens in Muncie, and five points races victories and a track championship at 42 Dragway. Dexter collected six big checks on the year to earn the three spot in our 2020 Top 10 List.

4– “Killer” Cole Foster

“Killer” Cole had a great season where he made 14 final round appearances, three of which came on the same day at a South West Jr. Dragster Series race. Foster won the Sportsman Championship at Houston Raceway and was the Texas Bracket Racing Series over all track champion. He was the Division 4 Race of Champions runner-up and had a huge year in the South West Jr. Dragster Series. In the SWJDS, Cole won the 10-12 championship, was 2nd in the Bracket 330 points, and finished 3rd in the All Run Big Money class. Cole averaged .039 light during eliminations this year.

5 (tie) – Seth Bee

Seth Bee locks down a top five spot after winning nine times in 2020. Bee earned track championships at Lucas Oil Raceway and Muncie Dragway along with the NHRA Division 3 10-12 Championship.

5 – Josiah Varner


Josiah Varner made ten finals in 2020 winning seven times, mostly in the All Run class. Varner, a multi-time DragChamp Top 10 List racer, claimed wins a multiple tracks and won several big money races including a $1,000 race win and a Wally. Josiah also finished second in the Brainerd Motorsports Park points chase.

6 – Alyssa Rabon

Alyssa Rabon made seven final round appearances in 2020 and won four times. Rabon won the 2020 PDRA Top Jr. World Championship and finished fifth in the NHRA Division 2 Lucas Oil Series points. Highlights for the 2020 season included PDRA East Coast Nationals winner, Galot Big Money Frenzy winner, PDRA World Finals winner, and Ironman winner at the Darlington Night of Horror race.

7 (tie) – Tyler Wied

Tyler Wied made 10 final round appearances on the season including winning three races in one day at the Cordova Jr. Nationals. Wied locked up the Midwest Jr. Super Series 8.90 index class championship and won $2,000 at the Garrett Schankle Memorial Race. He closed out the season taking his new car to the final round of the Division 3 Summit Jr. Finals.

7 (tie) – Cooper Hancock

10 year old Cooper Hancock made nine final rounds in 2020 winning six times. His biggest accomplishment of the season was winning the 10 year old class at the Eastern Conference Finals. Cooper also won the 2020 Atlanta Dragway track championship.

8– Kade Renoll

Kade Renoll enjoyed a big year including a win in the 10-12 year old class at the Eastern Conference Finals. On the year, Kade won five Wally’s, had two divisional runner-ups, won 2 out of 3 class at the Nic Woods race, won back-to-back Summit ET Series championships, and collected wins at his local track.

9 (tie) – Hayden “Bone Shaker” Miller

Hayden Miller dominated the 10-12 year old class at Gulfport Dragway winning both the track championship and the King of the Coast championship. Overall, Hayden won nine times in 2020 including a win at the Atmore Spooktacular race and late round finishes at the Winmore at Atmore series and the ECF in Charlotte.

9 (tie) – Ashton Halas

Ashton Halas won five of nine races to win the track championship at Lancaster Dragway. The highlight of his season was a 23 consecutive round win streak! Halas went to the Race Of Champions Finals and main event finals at IHRA event in Keystone and qualified for the IHRA World Finals.

10 – Colt Saum


Colt Saum closes out the 2020 10-12 Top 10 List after winning the NHRA Division 7 championship. Saum also made a final at the Western Conference Finals and made the late rounds at the Eastern Conference Finals. He also claimed wins at the South West Jr. Dragster Series, the Midwest Pro Mod Series, and added several wins at tracks across Texas and Oklahoma.
