06/10/20 – With so many big dollar bracket races going on, the DragChamp Top 10 List presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance is quickly drowning out the local bracket racers. This week’s list is dominated by racers that showed out on the big stage.

DragChamp Top 10 List – 06/10/20
1 – Nick Hastings
A week ago Nasty Nick defeated Hunter Patton at the SFG 350 to collect a $25,000 payday. A week later he rolled into the Great American $20,000 Bracket Race and swept the weekend! He won Footbrake on Saturday and Sunday while also being on the winning Footbrake team in the Dream Team Challenge.
2 – Matt Dadas
Another racer that continued his hot streak was Matt Dadas. After a huge weekend at the SFG 350, Matt rolled into another big final at the ACE Ohio Summer Slam. Matt took runner-up honors this week in the $20,000 final. That adds to his two $50K finals last week.
3 – Dustin Stocksdale
Dustin Stocksdale enjoyed a huge weekend at the King of the Creek race at Budds Creek. He won $25,000 in his wagon on Saturday and also earned the King of the Creek title in a run-off.
4 – Lindy Herman
Lindy Herman kicked off the King of the Creek weekend with a huge $25,000 victory! Although he lost the over King of the Creek run-off with Dustin Stocksdale, winning 25 large made for a good time!
5 (tie) – Donny Burleson
Nick Hastings wasn’t the only racer to have a big weekend in Holly Springs. Texas-based Donny Burleson finally broke through for a huge $20,000 victory on Saturday. Donny is a tough racer that has made late rounds at a number of the biggest races in the country over the last year. Great to see him get the big win.
5 (tie) – Koy Collier
Koy Collier continues to put together a solid season. After recently winning the Guaranteed Million entry in Texas, Collier turned on the final win light on Sunday to claim the $20,000 victory at the GABR $20K.
6 (tie) – Johnny Brannen
Several drivers cashed for $20K at the ACE Ohio Summer Slam. Johnny Brannen jumped into a borrowed car with no time trail and drove it to the $20K victory on Friday night.
6 (tie) – Skinny Kenny
Skinny Kenny Underwood was the Saturday $20K winner.
6 (tie) – AJ Buchanan
And AJ Buchanan closed out the Summer Slam collecting the final $20K payday after defeating red-hot Matt Dadas in the all-doorcar final.
7 – Rell Sinkler
Although he didn’t turn on the final win light, Rell Sinkler enjoyed a big weekend at the King of the Coast race. Rell kicked off the weekend with a $10K runner-up on Thursday and did the same to close the weekend on Sunday night.
8 (tie) – Team Ben Willis
The Ben Willis Jr. dragster team went back-to-back at the Dream Team Challenge. After winning this event in 2019, they returned to take the title once again in 2020! The team consisted of Carlee Tapley, Lucas Ford, Shelby Thurman, Carson Emmette, and Harrison Crawford.
8 (tie) – Team Rick Baehr
In a heated battle, Team Rick Baehr won the Dream Team Challenge Footbrake title for the second time. The team consisted of Rick Baehr, Nick Hastings, Gage Burch, Lucas Walker, and Charlie Lockhart.
8 (tie) – Team Trampus Stewart
Team Trampus Stewart took down Team Chad Axford to claim the Top Bulb Dream Team title. With the title on the line, Justin Allbritton laid down .013 total to seal the win for Trampus. The team consisted of Stewart, Albritton, Billy Fuller Jr., Allen Wickell, and Travis Barnett.
9 (tie) – Graeme Rufenacht
I don’t think this young man ever loses…lol. Grame has been unbelievably good for the last month. In the last six weeks, Gman has been in nine finals. Over the weekend he doubled up in the all-run class at the Southwest Junior Series race at Pine Valley Raceway. #sockposseracing
9 (tie) – Nick Wellman
Nick Wellman has been on fire lately winning four of the last five races he’s attended. He cashed in at Kentucky Dragway last weekend to add to his streak.
9 (tie) – Kaden Harrill
2019 IHRA Jr. Dragster World Champ Kaden Harrill has not missed a beat in 2020. Kaden won Saturday at Knoxville and looks on track to win the Southeast Six Shooter bracket series as well.
10 (tie) – Gage Blair
Gage Blair has been in three finals, in three weeks, at three different tracks! This weekend his dad Chris joined him in the final when he won the No Box Ironman race.
10 (tie) – Slade Olinde
Slade Olinde doubled up at State Capital Raceway winning the 11.90 and 8.90 class. The 11.90 victory was his third straight in points races at SCR.
10 (tie) – Jim Kleine
Jim Kleine has been in the finals every time he’s raced his Blazer this season. This includes races at Ardmore, Mo-Kan, and Ozark Mountain.
Hayden Trumble finished his license requirements at the Division 4 LODRS in Tulsa and then proceeded to win the race in Super Stock! In three races in big cars, this young man has two wins and a semifinal finish. Looks like the success he enjoyed in juniors is carrying over into the big cars.
Maddie Malone is another former junior racer that’s finding similar succes in big cars. Maddie earned her first win in her Nova last weekend. Click here to see her Car of the Month winning Nova.
The Goodin Family earned a shout out this week after the family dominated racing at National Trail. Dustin Goodin doubled up in Sportsman (yellow Aspen), his brother Ryan won Nostalgia Super Stock (Marron Mopar) and his nephew Riley won the 8.90 Jr. class.
