JEGS Summer Door Car Shootout Returns to I-57 Dragstrip

BENTON, IL – The “Biggest Little Door Car Race in the Midwest” is set to return to I-57 Dragstrip after a 1-year hiatus. The popular event is slated for September 17-19 at the Benton, IL facility.

Event promoters, Luke Bogacki and new I-57 Dragstrip owner Donnie Ellis have made a few notable tweaks to the traditional JEGS Summer Door Car Shootout Format:

• To commemorate the 10^th annual running of the JEGS Summer Door Car Shootouts, this season’s event will boast a $10,000 winner’s purse on each of its three days (largest purse in event history).
• New for 2021: There will be no pre-entry process! I-57 Dragstrip will welcome all entrants – pay at the track!
• JEGS Summer Door Car Shootout staff is finalizing details on the additional manufacturer involvement that SDCS racers have come to expect! This year promises to have the most lucrative specialty and “Door” prizes in JEGS Summer Door Car Shootout history! Below, see page 1 of the official event flyer.
