Racers were crowned as Kings and Queens at the BTE King of the Coast Event #2 at Gulfport Dragway.
GULFPORT, MS- The BTE King of the Coast series Event #2 took place April 30- May 2, 2021. Racers flocked to Gulfport Dragway for a shot at big paydays and guaranteed good times.
The Electronics class featured a $7,000-to-win race on Saturday and $5,000-to-win race on Sunday. The Footbrake class was $3,500-to-win on Saturday and $2,500-to-win on Sunday. The Junior Dragsters also competed for $200 each day for the 7-9 year-old class and $450 for the 10-12 year-old and 13-17 year-old classes. There was also a Sportsman class that was free to enter with a $15 Spectator pass.

In Saturday’s $7,000-to-win Electronics class, Adam Russell gets the win over Greg Rolison. The semi-finalists were Jim Blake and Charlie Crosby.
Saturday Alliance Race Wear Footbrake Results
Robert Allen picks up the win over Aaron Hill in Saturday’s $3,500-to-win Footbrake class. Mike Barnett was the semi-finalist.
Saturday Velocity Racing Carbs Sportsman Results
Mike “Cut N Head” Simoneaux gets the win over Curtis Allen in Saturday’s Velocity Racing Carbs Sportsman class.
Saturday SW Powersports Junior Dragster Results
Pearce Automotive 13-17 year-olds
Rylee Wells drove her dragster to the winner’s circle in the 13-17 year old class. The runner-up was Haley Farmer and the semi-finalist was Luke Tabor.
CS Transport 10-12 year-olds
Zack Pearce claims Saturday’s 10-12 year old Junior Dragster win over Bryce Fairley. The semi-finalists were Tyler Nunez and Kody Kern.
Berry Performance 7-9 year-olds
Bentley Wright picks up the win in the 7-9 year-old Junior Dragster class over MacKenzie Farmer.
Sunday Rick’s Powder Coating Electronics
Sunday’s Electronics class was split with five cars remaining. Slate Cummings had two entries rolling and Opie Pearce, Russ Miley, and Gant Gatwood joined him.
Sunday Alliance Race Wear Footbrake Results
Michael Lewis claims the $2,500 prize after picking up the win over Aaron Hill. Semi-finalists were Robert Allen and Jody “Cool” Simoneaux.
Sunday Velocity Racing Carbs Sportsman Results
Nicky Wentzell grabs the win in Sunday’s Velocity Racing Carbs Sportsman class over Saturday’s runner-up, Curtis Allen.
13-17 Junior Dragsters
In the 13-17 year-old Junior Dragster class, Jacob Hickey picks up the win over Kaleb Shiver. Griffin Hatcher was the semi-finalist.
10-12 Year-old Junior Dragsters
Linly Hatcher grabs the 10-12 year-old Sunday Junior Dragster win over Jace Esneault. The semi-finalist was Tyler Nunez.
7-9 Year-old Junior Dragsters
In the 7-9 year-old Sunday Junior Dragster class, Victoria Beaner parks her Junior Dragster in the winner’s circle. Grayson Herbert was the runner-up.
