Super Stock – 35 Car Field

The Worner brothers lead the Super Stock class return to New England this week after finishing one and two in the national points last year. Byron was also the event champion the last time the NHRA tour stopped at Epping. They’re joined by a tough group of racers including top ranked D1 racers Patrick Glade, Joe Lisa, Shane Oakes, and Bob Letellier.

DragChamp picks to win:

Joe Santangelo – Former world champ is a great bet this week.

Anthony Bongiovanni – Fast Ford racer knows his way to the winners circle.

Stock Eliminator – 61 Car Field

The largest class of the event is Stock Eliminator with 61 competitors is ready to roll. Of note, the class is made up entirely of Division 1 racers. Last year’s #5 ranked racer John Shaul leads the class into the weekend. He’s joined by a list of D1 hitters including Shane Oakes, Matthew Lisa, and Bob Broadbent.

DragChamp picks to win:

Allison Doll – The 2019 World Champ is killer on the tree with her Portatree sponsored Firebird.

Donald Pires – D1 hitter is a consistent winner on the Lucas Oil divisional level.

Shane Oakes – Talented class racer should make some noise this weekend.

Super Comp – 58 Car Field

Ken Moses doubles at nhra new england national
2019 Super Comp Champ Ken Moses

Ken Moses doubled up the last time he competed in a national event in Epping. He’d love nothing more than to see a repeat performance this weekend. To accomplish that feat, he’ll have to outlast a talented field that includes Shawn Fricke, Amanda Boicesco, Jason Kenny, and John Labbous Jr.

DragChamp picks to win:

Kyle Bigley – Just missed with a runner-up finish in 2019, look for him to go the distance this week.

Tom Stalba Jr. – D1 legend is carrying momentum from his recent $10K victory at the Dave Stine Memorial race.

Jason Kenny – This guy wins everywhere and drives the wheels off his dragster.

Super Gas – 30 Car Field

Don’t let the small field fool you, it’s a shark tank filled with talented racers. Last season’s number two and three ranked drivers, Jason Kenny and Justin Lopes will look to kick off another strong points total. Iggie Boicesco comes into the event looking for a repeat of his 2019 victory.

DragChamp picks to win:

Ray Sawyer – Class veteran gets better with age and so does his Sudden Impact Camaro.

Iggie Boicesco – 2019 event champ is an easy pick based on his strong performance over the last year.

Super Street – 43 Car Field

When you talk Super Street in Epping, you have to include Brian Sawyer in the conversation. He’s practically owned the class at this track for the last several seasons. Other racers to watch this week include Taylor Iacono and Kyle Bigley.

DragChamp picks to win:

Brian Sawyer – This is the easiest pick of the week. Look for continued domination this weekend.

Keith Mayers – The Porsche driver is one of the best in the class.

Top Dragster – 29 Car Field

Just as in Super Comp, defending event champion Ken Moses would love nothing more than to add another Wally to the trophy case this week. Anthony Bertozzi, the 2020 World Champ, and last season’s #7 ranked driver Alan Kenny will do they’re best to prevent Moses from repeating.

DragChamp pick to win:

Kyle Cultrera – Talented big money bracket racing ace should be a handful for the TD competitors this week.
