The DragChamp Show with Sheldon Gecker

Sheldon Gecker, the man behind the legendary King Kong Mopar race cars, joins the DragChamp Show podcast!

Sheldon Gecker, 2X NHRA Super Gas World Champ and driver of the legendary King Kong Mopar’s, joins the show this week to talk Mopar’s, racing for a living, Super Gas racing , and so much more.

In this episode we dig into the difference in winnings and expenses in the old days versus today.  Sheldon described some of the advantages he had years ago when everyone pretty much built their own cars.  He told us how a Powerglide transmission turned his racing operation around and made him competitive.  We discussed the effects of vapor pressure on ET’s and how he adjusted throttle stops.

It was a wide ranging conversation that is informative and entertaining.  We hope you enjoy.
