1 – Adam “Al Capone” Russell

“He got’em!” Adam Russell, also known as Al Capone, crushed the field at the 26th Annual Mickey Thompson Million to add his name to the historic winners list. Russell stopped one of the greatest of all time, Scotty Richardson, in the final round to claim the Million Dollar victory! The victory came a day prior to his wedding anniversary which I’m sure made for a great anniversary gift. His blown 4.3x dragster was unreal throughout eliminations.

2 – Scotty Richardson

Scotty Richardson snags the two spot this week after making back-to-back finals at The Million Dollar Drag Race. On Friday, Scotty made the Million final where he came up short to Adam Russell. The following day, Scotty drove to a second consecutive final taking the $50,000 victory in Thursday’s $50K (completed on Saturday) over Aaron McCualla.

3 – Pennington Bros.

The Pennington Bros. made the long tow from Texas worthwhile after all three brothers made noise all week. Peeps kicked off the week with a runner-up in the $20K warm up race. Michael made his mark with quarterfinal finishes in the Million main event and one of the $50K’s. Philip finished the weekend in fine fashion by winning the final $50K race of the week. Peeps made another late round showing falling to Philip in the quarters on Saturday night.

4 – Jimmy “Cooter” Hidalgo Jr.

Cooter headed to Rockingham with a NHRA championship on his mind. After winning in Stock and Super Stock, Hidalgo is now solidly in the Top 10 in both classes with a chance to win both championships! The Louisiana runner now heads west to Vegas to continue his pursuit at this weekend’s national event and next weekends LODRS.

5 – Will Holloman

Will Holloman cashed in at South Georgia Motorsports Park when he captured the $50,000 Wednesday main event. Holloman defeated Gage Burch in the final to add to his already successful season.

6 – Jeremy Hancock

7 – Scooter Hamlin

Scooter Hamlin doubled up at Xtreme Raceway outside of Dallas taking victories in Top Dragster and 5.80 Index. Two weeks ago Scooter drove to a runner-up in his new dragster at I-30 Dragway.

8 – The Million $50,000 Runner-ups

Gage Burch, Aaron McCualla, and Brian Folk grab a shout out this week after each found the final round last week at the Million.

9 – Cory Gulitti

A week after his $50,000 victory in Carolina, Cory Gulitti almost grabbed another big check. Gulitti drove to the semifinals in Thursday’s $50K (completed on Saturday) where he came up just short to Scotty Richardson.

10 – Jason Ford

Jason Ford completes the Laris Motorsports Insurance Top 10 List this week after doubling up at Kil-Kare. Ford won Super Pro and Pro to snag the ten spot this week.
