DragChamp Top 10 List

1 – Bo Butner

Bo Butner proved he can drive pretty much anything. Butner captured one of the most prestigious prizes in bracket racing winning the K&N Spring Fling Million in Vegas. I guess this proves that Bo knows bracket racing too.

2 – Kyle Rizzoli

Kyle Rizzoli capped off a great week of racing at the Saturday FTI $30K at the Spring Fling Million. Rizzoli was also in the No-Box final on Saturday in his stocker where he lost to Justin Lamb. Earlier in the week Rizzoli fell to Niki Thomas in the Wednesday No-Box final round.

3 (tie) – Gage Burch

Gage Burch just keeps on winning. Gage doubled up winning on Saturday and Sunday in Florida to earn his 8th win of the young season! You can listen to Gage on the DragChamp Show podcast here.

3 (tie) – Kris Whitfield

Kris Whitfield came up one round short of the ultimate goal on Friday when he posted a runner-up finish in the Spring Fling Million!

4 – Andy Schmall

Andy Schmall won one for the bottom bulb racers after outlasting the Top Bulb field on Wednesday to collect a $30K payday at the Spring Fling Million. Schmall was the last man standing in Pro, joined Super Pro and went on to win the race!

5 (tie) – Cory Gulitti

Cory Gulitti started the week off in fine fashion after outlasting Gary Williams in the American Race Cars Shootout on Tuesday. The win earned Gulitti a new rolling dragster which was painted by Todd’s Extreme Paint.

5 (tie) – Dustin Hentges

Dustin Hentges Spring Fling Million

Dustin Hentges put his ’69 Camaro in the winners circle on Thursday at the Spring Fling Million to earn the Moser Engineering $30K check.

6 – Brian Hendrickson

Brian Hendrickson doubled up Saturday night at Edgewater winning both Pro and Sportsman.

7 – Gary Williams

Gary Williams had a big week in Vegas. He began the week with a runner-up finish in the Dragster Shootout and followed that with a late run on Wednesday. In Wednesday’s $30K, G-dub took two entries to ten cars and one to five cars. Gary made a ton of rounds during the week while brother Troy made it to the semifinals in the Million.

9 – Val Torres Jr.

Val Torres Jr. may be one of the hottest racers in the country. A few weeks removed from a double win at the Southwest Showdown, Torres made several late round showings at the Spring Fling. He opened the week with a semifinal finish in the Dragster Shootout and wrapped up the week with a second semifinal appearance in Friday’s Million!

10 (tie) – Nick Hastings

Nick Hastings came oh so close to winning the Million. After racing through a super tough 22 car Pro field on Friday, Nick joined the Super Pro class where he got behind by a “thou” at six cars to Bo Butner.

10 (tie) – Niki Thomas

Niki Thomas won the Pro class on Wednesday and then raced to a semifinal finish in the $30K! Thomas turned on win lights all week against some stiff No-Box competition.

10 (tie) – Justin Lamb

Justin Lamb took a knife to a gunfight but held his own at the Spring Fling. The 5x NHRA champ drove his inconsistent (as compared to most bracket cars) Super Stocker to back-to-back Pro class finals on Thursday and Friday. After falling to Nick Hastings in Friday’s final, Lamb defeated Kyle Rizzoli in the Saturday final. He lost to Rizzoli’s second entry in the following round of Super Pro on Saturday evening.
