DragChamp Top 10 List – 4/21/21 Edition

Soggy Dunn tops the List, Todd Arnold wins $500K, and Brian Hannan doubles for $15K. The DragChamp Top 10 List presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance has this week’s top performers.

04/21/21 – This weeks’ Top 10 List presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance was a tough list to crack as there were big races literally everywhere this past weekend. From the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Vegas to the JEGS SFG 500 in Florida, and all points in between. This included the Loose Rocker Bigfoot $75K, the Spring Training race in Texas, and the Mississippi Madness at Holly Springs. Check out the Top 10 List below to see the top performers of the week.

1 – Soggy Dunn

Soggy Dunn wins the largest Loose Rocker payout to date in the Bigfoot $75K

Soggy Dunn snags the top spot this week after a huge $75,000 victory at the Loose Rocker Bigfoot $75K. The race attracted some of the best bottom bulb racers in the country and Dunn outlasted them all to collect the largest payout of the weekend. Dunn hinted at things to come earlier in the week when he won the track-hosted Outlaw Doorslammer class Thursday night!

2 – Todd Arnold

After a long 15-year hiatus from racing, Todd Arnold jumped into a borrowed ride and proceeded to collect one of drag racing’s richest prizes, the JEGS SFG 500! Arnold outlasted the large, talent-laden field to earn the $500,000 payday.

3 – Brian Hannan

Mississippi madness

Brian Hannan enjoyed a successful weekend at the Mississippi Madness race at Holly Springs. Hannan won two of the three $7,500 races over the weekend!

4 – Ryan Butler

Ryan Butler raced into the headlines this week after driving his Chevy II to a double at Edgewater Sports Park. Butler won the $10,000 Super Pro title and the $3,000 Pro title on the same day!

5 (tie) – Nick Hastings

Nasty Nick Hastings adds to his collection of Loose Rocker checks

Nasty Nick went to the Bigfoot $75K and did his thing once again. Nick won the $3K Gamblers race early in the weekend and followed that with a runner-up in the $75K main event.

5 (tie) – Sugar Shane Carr


Sugar Shane made some noise in Bradenton taking home a $100,000 payday. He also made it to the semifinals in one of the secondary races.

6 – Brent Martin

Brent Martin wins $8,000 on Tuesday during the JEGS SFG 500

Brent Martin also enjoyed a big week in Bradenton when he won the $8K add-on race and then was runner-up the next night in the $100K.

7 – Mark Mullen


Speaking of $100K winners, Mark Mullen added his name to the list when he outlasted the aforementioned Brent Martin in Wednesday’s $100K race.

8 – Pennington Bros.

The Pennington brothers, Michael and Peeps, showed out at the Spring Training race at I-30 Dragway outside of Dallas. After weather forced a schedule change, the brothers meet in the $40K Super Pro final on Saturday where they did their customary split and quit.

9 – Johnny Ezell

2021 has been good to JBR and that success continued at the SFG 500. Ezell opened the week with a $50,000 victory in the Warm-Up event. The only person that stopped JBR that night was himself as he was doubled late. He ran himself in the quarterfinals and then went on to win the race.

10 – Rodney Costlow

Wrapping up the Top 10 List this week is Rodney Costlow. Competing at the Spring Training race, Costlow outlasted a talented field to earn the $25,000 victory on Sunday.
