2022 K&N Spring Fling Million Presented by Optima Batteries Pre-Race

The 2022 K&N Spring Fling Million Presented by Optima Batteries is happening this week at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Get all of the details below.

Las Vegas, NV — The Fling brand enters its 10th year promoting events at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, giving racers the opportunity to roll the dice and try their luck in earning the largest payday offered on the west coast with the return of the K&N Spring Fling Million presented by Optima Batteries April 12-16.

The first stop of the 2022 Fling tour features three $30,000-to-win purses in addition to the Fling Million Payscale that guarantees a minimum of $250,000 and up to $1,000,000-to-win to Friday’s winner. Round money for the three $30,000 events has been increased for the same 3-day special to give racers greater return on their entry.

The event will be a milestone in Fling history, serving as the first to allow drivers to double enter a single vehicle in response to skyrocketing fuel costs. In an effort to maintain a more even playing field for single-entered drivers, double and single-entered drivers will be separated into different groups. Each racer will be assigned a Fling competition number with a letter that designates their group.

“We rolled out the new format for the first time today in Vegas and it was well received by the racers,” said race promoter Peter Biondo. “With over 400 tech cards sold already on Monday night, this looks to be a huge event!”

APD Time Trial Tuesday will fire up at 10 a.m. beginning with the Laris Motorsports Insurance Pro Field. Test and tuners will run in sessions throughout the day in conjunction with a 32-Car Shootout in which the winner will take home a 2022 Todd’s Extreme custom-painted American Racecars rolling dragster chassis valued at $50,000.

As racers have come to expect, the Fling Team has over $60,000 in product and cash giveaways in hand for all on property. The drivers with the best losing packages in rounds 1-4 each day will now receive $500 and a small Fling check on the spot during the Triple $30K’s and $1,000 during Friday’s main event. The Fling Kids East Egg Hunt on Saturday will have great prizes for the whole family like Razor scooters, RC cars, toys, and gift cards.
