Calling All Footbrake Racers to the World Footbrake Challenge XVI

As the first pre-entry deadline rapidly approaches, DragChamp gathers all the details for the upcoming World Footbrake Challenge XVI.

BRISTOL, TN – An event that most would consider the Mecca of Footbrake racing, the World Footbrake Challenge is gearing up for their sixteenth installment at Bristol Dragway, June 30-July 3, 2022.

Footbrake racers will spend four days fighting for over $50,000 in winner’s purses as well as round money, special awards, and round prizes.

Although racing doesn’t begin until June 30th, drivers can start winning early by cashing in on the pre-entry savings.

Pre-Entry Deals & Policy

Those who purchase a weekend entry by June 2nd will keep the most money in their pockets by taking advantage of the $450 price tag.

If you miss that deadline but enter by June 22nd, you will pay $500.

For those who don’t want to pre-enter at all, gate entries are welcome for $600.

The World Footbrake Challenge double friendly pre-entry policy allows racers to essentially “lock-in” their discounted rate, as they can add a second entry at the gate for the same price. As always, all pre-entries are 100% refundable if for some reason you are unable to attend the event.

$3K Gamblers Races

Both Thursday and Friday will feature gamblers races where drivers pay a $100 entry fee for their chance to win $3,000. The runner up will earn $1,000 while payout continues all the way back to second round winners!

The gamblers races will test your skills with no time trial, no buybacks, and no double entries. Although on Thursday drivers can participate in Test n’ Tune from 12-4:30 for only $35.

If you fail to turn on the first round win light, drivers can pay $100 to compete in the re-entry round where those winners will advance into second round of the main event. All re-entry drivers also receive a complimentary ice cream courtesy of Third Amber Racewear.
