CCMP Capital City Classic is Back for 2023

Pre-entry is now open for the 2nd Annual Capital City Classic on April 13-16, 2023 at Capital City Motorsports Park.

MONTGOMERY, AL- Back again for 2023 is the highly anticipated 2nd Annual Capital City Classic April 13-16, 2023 at Capital City Motorsports Park. The three-day event will feature two $50,000-to-win races and one $100,000-to-win main event on Saturday. Last year, Donovan Williams tore through Capital City Motorsports Park and had one of the most memorable weekends he has ever had in his racing career. Williams took home the Thursday night Shootout win, the $100,000 win, and a quarter-final finish in Sunday’s $50,000 race.

Pre-Entry Information

If you like what you see, click here to claim you spot in the Capital City Classic today. The pre-entry for all three days ($50K, $100K, $50K) is just $200 and $650 will be due at the gate. Act fast, pre-entry just opened November 1, 2022 and the race has a 350 entry cap.

Friday $50,000-to-win

Friday will feature the first $50,000-to-win race of the weekend. The runner-up finisher will earn $10,000 and semi-finalists will take home $2,500. There will be a buyback available for $250 and a single day entry will be $350.

Last year, Will Holloman drove the Bear Motorsports dragster to the winners circle after defeating Kevin Brannon in Friday’s $50,000 final round.

Saturday $100,000-to-win

Saturday will feature the $100,000-to-win main event. $20,000 will go to the runner-up and $5,000 to semi-finalists. The buyback will be $400 and the single day entry fee will be $500.

In 2022’s event, Donovan Williams shook the world once again and found the winners circle for the second time of the weekend. Williams defeated Chad Spradlin in the Saturday $100,000 final round.

Sunday $50,000-to-win

To wrap up the weekend, there will be a second $50,000-to-win race. The runner-up finisher will claim $10,000 and the semi-finalists will take home $2,500. The buyback will be available for $250 and the single day entry fee will be $350.

In last year’s event, JR Barclay took home the last win of the weekend after defeating Thomas Holley in the Sunday $50,000 final round.
