Connolly Cashes in for $100,000 at the TB $100K

Pro Stock Dave Connolly cashed in for $100,000 last weekend at the TB $100K event at Kil-Kare Raceway in Xenia, OH.

XENIA, OH – Dave Connolly got a quick break from his Pro Stock crew chief schedule to come out to the TB $100K race at Kil-Kare Raceway where he made his trip quite memorable for him and his family. Connolly defeated JP Schuster in the final round of the $100,000 race to take home the big check!

The TB Promotions team fought weather all weekend long, but was able to complete everything scheduled by the end of the weekend on Sunday evening. Friday and Saturday’s $25,000 races were combined into a $50,000 that was contested on Saturday with the $100,000 shootout, and Sunday’s $25,000 race was completed Sunday evening.

Mullis Race Cars Friday

The JEGS 10K Warm-Up was completed on Friday after a rainstorm hit, with Steve Collier taking the win over Brandon Taylor in the final round. Collier was off the bottom too, to make it even cooler!

2 gamblers races were put together after deciding they didn’t want to risk Friday’s forecast with starting a whole new race. Matt Dadas picked up the 64-car shootout $5K to win shootout on Friday, defeating Dave Braskett in the final round.

Carson Nealy picked up the $100,000 entry in the 32-car shootout, defeating Tim Kelley in the final round!

Vintage Trailers Saturday

Dave Connolly came out on top in the Fueltech 64-car $100,000 shootout, after defeating JP Schuster in the final round.

Emily Abruzzi defeated Liam Carpenter in the final round of the Friday/Saturday combined Junior Dragster race.

Law Chevrolet Sunday

A true level of sportsmanship showed in the $50,000 final round on Sunday as the sun was setting. Troy Williams Jr. and Jeff Serra staged up in the final round where Serra was timed out. Without question, Williams backed up and gave the signal to Serra to stage up and try again. Williams ended up being the winner of the round, and his kindness did not go unnoticed!

Devin O’Brien defeated Eric Bowman in an all-dragster final round in the Sunday $25,000 race.

Toby Mitchell defeated Liam Carpenter in the Sunday Junior Dragster final round to take home the trophy.

Megan Strassweg

Megan Bohannon is a 25 year old Super Comp racer from Louisville, Kentucky. She races a 2015 American Dragster with a 648 Oakley Motorsports Engine. Growing up at the racetrack, drag racing is all she has known and never plans to give up on it.
