Galot $5K Summit ET Points Bracket Race #3 & #4
Hogan doubled-up and scored a runner-up finish; Paschal, Creech, Morton, Pelo, Fletcher, and Kerby all captured wins at the Galot Motorsports Park $5K Summit ET Points Bracket race #3 and #4.

DUNN, NC- Race #3 and #4 of the Galot Motorsports Park $5K Summit ET Points Bracket Series is in the books. This past weekend, April 1-3, 2022 featured a Junior Dragster & Big Car Gamblers Race on Friday, $5K Top ET, Footbrake, and Junior Dragster classes on Saturday and Sunday. Friday Junior Dragster Gamblers Race
In the Junior Dragster gamblers race final round, McKenzee Hogan had lane choice over Brooks McMath. Hogan dialed up 8.90 against McMath’s 7.90. McKenzee had the better reaction time of .032, while Brooks was .068 on the tree. McKenzee made the 1/8 mile trip in 8.920 seconds and Brooks ran 7.906. The overall smaller package and gamblers race win goes to McKenzee Hogan.

Friday Big Car Gamblers Race
In the big cars’ gamblers race, Larry Chapman had lane choice over Michael Morton in the final round. Chapman dialed 5.50 and Morton put up 6.44. Michael Morton had the better reaction time by .030, but at the other end, it came to be that reaction times didn’t matter. Both drivers broke out by running under their dial-ins. Michael Morton was closer to his dial-in by a mere .002 seconds, giving him the win in Friday’s gamblers race.

Saturday Results
Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET
T.G Paschal and Eric Aman came to the water box in the semi-finals of Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET. Paschal dialed 4.49 and Aman dialed 5.19. T.G. took the tree with a reaction time of .011, while Eric had a problem getting off the line, taking the tree at .149. T.G. ran 4.562 and Eric ran 5.199. Smaller package and round win goes to T.G. Paschal, who moves on to face W.G. Lankas in the final round. Lankas gets to the final round via a bye.
In the final round, T.G. dials 4.49 against W.G. and his 4.77. T.G. destroys the tree in the final with a perfect .000 reaction time and runs dead on with a 4 (that’s a .004 total package in the final round), while W.G. has a very respectable .004 reaction time, but breaks out by .006. The winner in Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET tonight is T.G. Paschal.

West End Opera Footbrake
In the first semi, Rodney Lunsford and Tucker Creech came to the starting line together. Lunsford dialed 6.42 and Creech dialed 6.69. Creech took a .039 advantage at the tree and ran 6.751. Lunsford ran 6.451, giving Tucker Creech the smaller package and a ticket to the final round. In the second semi, Andrew Davis faced off with Michael Jackson. Davis dialed 7.69 and Jackson put up a 5.43. Only .003 separated the two at the starting line (advantage Jackson), so it was all about driving the stripe. Michael Jackson made the 1/8 mile trip in 5.459, while Davis did it in 7.723. Win light come on for Michael Jackson.
In the final round, Tucker Creech dialed 6.68 and Michael Jackson kept his 5.43 dial. Creech takes a small lead at the tree of .008, and runs 6.695 on his dial, while Jackson runs 5.457. Smaller overall package and race winner for Saturday’s West End Opera House Footbrake is Tucker Creech.

Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster
Over in Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster, Brooks McMath and Makenna Antinori lined up for the first semi-final. Brooks dialed 7.90 and Makenna dialed 7.93. This one was over at the starting line as Makenna turned on the red light by .015, sending Brooks McMath to the final round against McKenzee Hogan, who got a bye to the final.
This set up a rematch of last night’s gambler’s race final. Brooks came to the line with his 7.90 dial, and McKenzee dialed up a 8.90. Hogan was .071 on the tree and McMath was .077. At the big end, McKenzee ran dead on her dial with a 2, while Brooks broke out by running .001 under his dial. Your winner in Saturday’s Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster is McKenzee Hogan.

Sunday Results
Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET
In Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET, the first semi featured Ken Batchelor and Michelle Pelo. Ken dialed 4.33 and Michelle dialed 6.41. This one was over at the tree, as Ken Batchelor lit up the red light by .012, sending Michelle Pelo to the final round. In the second semi for Top ET, Jayden Lawler faced off with Brandon Lane. Jayden dialed 4.46 against Brandon’s 4.72. Lawler was .017 on the tree and ran 4.471. Brandon was .009 on the tree and ran 4.731. Brandon Lane gets the smaller package and heads to the final round.
In the final round, Brandon Lane and Michelle Pelo both adjusted their dial-ins. Brandon went to 4.71 and Michelle went to 6.40. Michelle Pelo took a .014 starting line advantage and ran 6.418 against Brandon’s 4.733. Michelle Pelo has the smaller overall package and takes the race win for Sunday in Onslow Grading and Paving Top ET.

West End Opera House Footbrake
West End Opera House Footbrake is our next stop. This class had an interesting semi-final round tonight. Steve Alford advances straight to the final round, thanks to a bye. Dan Fletcher and his son, Tim Fletcher were supposed to face off in the semis. Tim Fletcher could not make the call to the lanes due to a breakage, and dad wouldn’t let him borrow the car tonight. Dan Fletcher automatically advances to the final round. (**quick side note, Steve Alford defeated Richard Alford, Jr. in the quarterfinals to advance…see, I told you it was a strange class tonight**)
In the final round, Dan Fletcher dialed 6.61 and Steve Alford dialed 6.30. Fletcher takes a .014 starting line advantage and runs 6.652. Alford makes the trip in 6.340 seconds, giving the smaller package and race win in Sunday’s West End Opera House Footbrake to Dan Fletcher.

Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster
In Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragster action, Bladen Core and McKenzee Hogan came to the line together for the first semi-final. Core dialed 7.90 and Hogan dialed 8.90. Bladen was uncharacteristically late on the tree, and Hogan used the opportunity to get away. Bladen tried to catch back up, but ended up breaking out on the big end. McKenzee stayed on the safe side of her dial in and headed to her THIRD final round of the weekend. She would face Justin Kerby, who received the bye to the final round.
In the final, MaKenzee Hogan dialed 8.90 against Justin Kerby and his 7.90. Justin took the tree with a reaction time of .022 and McKenzee had a .058 light. Hogan ran 8.920 on her dial and Kerby ran 7.948 on his dial, giving him the smaller overall package, keeping McKenzee Hogan from sweeping the weekend. Your winner in Sunday’s Dynamite Trailer Sales Junior Dragsters is Justin Kerby.
