“I had the pleasure of working with Jonny O when I was managing my track. I needed help with a lot of things and Jon worked with me 24/7 until I was able to get my issues resolved,” said WDRA’s Don Scott. “Here was a guy willing to get in his car and drive the 8 hours to fix my problem. It was then I realized that some of the big things a sanctioning body does for member tracks is problem solving and guidance. Jon is unbelievable at servicing tracks and working with racers on making sure their needs are quickly taken care of.”
“The opportunity to move forward with the first new endeavor in drag racing since before my time is exciting,” said O’Neal. “I have seen both the beauty and the peril of the roles of a sanctioning body through the years and moving forward with our own blank slate is an undeniable opportunity.”
O’Neal will be based in Ohio and can be reached at Jon@racewdra.com.
