King of the Coast Series Returns for 2022

GULFPORT, MS- Are looking for a new series to run with great promoters, fantastic payouts, and good times. Well, look no further than the BTE King of the Coast Bracket Racing Series presented by David McMurtry Performance Engines! The series kicks off the year with Event #1 February 18-20, 2022 at Gulfport Dragway and will feature FREE Gamblers Races, Electronics, Footbrake, Sportsman, and Junior Dragster classes.

Electronics
In Rick’s Powder Coating & Customs Electronics class, racers will compete for $7,000/Winner & $700/RU on Saturday & $5,000/Winner & $500/RU on Sunday. Buybacks will be available 1st or 2nd round and will be $75. The Saturday only entry fee is $150 and Sunday’s is $100. However, if you would like to race both, the combined entry fee is only $225.
Footbrake
In Alliance Race Wear Footbrake, it will be $4,000/Winner & $500/RU on both Saturday and Sunday. The weekend entry will be $165 or $90 on each day. Buybacks will be available for 1st or 2nd round and will be $65.
Sportsman
In Velocity Racing Carbs Sportsman class, racers will compete for $100/Winner & $50 RU based on 10 entries on both days. The entry fee is FREE with a $15 spectator pass each day. There will also be a $10 buyback available 1st and 2nd round.
Junior Dragsters
Once again this year, there will be three Junior Dragster classes: Ages 7-9, 10-12, and 13-17. Ages 7-9 will be $200/Winner & $50 RU based on 6 entries. The entry fee is $40 and a $20 buyback is available for 1st and 2nd round. In the 10-12 & 13-17 year old classes, it will be $800/Winner & $200/RU on both days with a $75 entry and $30 1st or 2nd round buyback.
For Event #1 all Junior Dragster classes will race for an Ironman trophy!

FREE Gamblers Races
On Friday night, there will be a Footbrake & Electronics FREE Gamblers Race with a paid Test N’Tune.
In the Electronics class, racers will run for a FREE weekend entry into the Top Bulb 150 and GABR Dream Team Weekend ($800 value). The runner-up will earn a FREE weekend entry to the KOC Event #2.
In the Footbrake class, they will compete for a FREE weekend entry into the Footbrake 150 and GABR Dream Team Weekend ($550 value). The runner-up will win a Free weekend entry to the KOC Event #2.
