Many Winners Emerge at TransTec Halloween Classic XLIX presented by Harland Sharp
The TransTec Halloween Classic XLIX presented by Harland Sharp featured fun, frights and fantastic racing for a $100,000 purse, Oct. 8-16, 2022 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
Even more importantly, there was camaraderie among our racing community, which is one of the best elements of this longstanding annual event.

MONDAY, OCT. 10, 2022
For the Dornan Sales & Service Practice Tree Race, Nathan Benish was the winner and 2022 Summit Motorsports Park Edelbrock Pro champion A.J. Buchanan was the runner-up.
TUESDAY, OCT. 11, 2022
The Dornan Sales & Service Pit Vehicle Mania offered several classes. In the Golf Cart Class, Doug Burgess was the winner and John Boes was the runner-up. In the Skooter Class, Matt Dadas was the winner and Jaeden Durst was the runner-up. The Minibike Class saw Tom Griffin win and Marvin Walentowski runner-up, while the Outlaw Class put the spotlight on winner Austin Lenz and runner up Dave Paone. Later in the evening, Matt Dadas emerged as the Grand Champion.

As a result of heavy rainfall, the Fleenor Racing Transmissions No Box Gambler’s Race andCallies Performance Products Box Gambler’s Race scheduled for Wednesday were canceled.

R&R Auto Body Paint My Ride Runoff: Carl Keil and Brian Cireddu had a close race, and Keil came out on top.
Moser Engineering No Box Hi Roller’s Race: Steve Obertanec defeated Chad Moss.
Dornan’s Sales & Service Box Hi Roller’s Race: Anthony Cooper won over Ron Berkel.
FRIDAY, OCT. 14, 2022
Foghorn Designs No Box Super Roller’s Race: Vic Ellinger edged out Jason Kruse.
Abruzzi Transmissions Box Super Roller’s Race — Carl Keil cruised to the win against Kara Jo Brank.
Trick Flow Ultimate Performer: Joe Soucek Jr. secured the win over Lisa Boes.






SATURDAY, OCT. 15
Trick Flow Bumper Draggin Air Show: Sweet William, whose tech card indicates he is “looking for a wife,” won for having the Highest Wheelie, and Kenny Case won for having the Farthest Wheelie.
Kelleys Island Venture Resort Kid’s Costume Judging: There were so many wonderful children and costumes, and it was very difficult for the judges to choose winners. Here they are:
Most Original Ages 1-6: Brendan Schultze, first place, Kenzi Ball, third place, Braxton Fleenor, third place.
Most Original Ages 7 and Older: Kamryn Smith, first place, Adelyn Gerber, second place, Abel Oehlers, third place.
Prettiest Ages 1-6: Arianna Hess, first place, Ellie Santa, second place, Payton Miller, third place.
Prettiest Ages 7 and Older: Lily Elrod, first place, Sydni Howlsopple, second place, Aria Daivto, third place.
Scariest Ages 1-6: Haylee Pocock, first place, Hazel Markin, second place, Beau Malinowski, third place.
Scariest Ages 7 and Older: Bristol Fleenor, first place, Hayden Pocock, second place, JJ Absher, third place.

Adult Costume Contest: There was a mix of clever and comical costumes for judges to choose from. Here are the winners:
Most Original: Wizard of Oz, featuring Seth Jimenez, Peyton Jimenez, Corey Jimenez, Jenna Osborne, Ava Lawson, Roman Iocoangeli, Anotnio Iocoangeli, Ava Tiburzi, Vince Tiburzi, Keegan Schoen and Bryce Buehrer from the Summit Motorsports Park Bear Motorsports presented by Wiseco Junior Dragster program.
Scariest: Seth Jimenez as Scarecrow.
Funniest: Ron and Lindsay Biondo, Scott and Heidi Wasko and Jon Berkel as Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs.
Sexiest: Dave Paone, who was dressed as a silly/sexy woman, and played the part.
Best Decorated Rig: The large number of racers taking part in Best Decorated Rig really helped the pit areas look even more seasonal. The winners are:
Gold: Buehrer and Jimenez Families, for creating Haunted Wizard of Oz.
Silver: Amber Curry, for putting together Spooky Trailer and Graveyard.
Bronze: Lucas Farmer, for offering Haunted House.
Best Decorated Area: Many racers spent a lot of time creating their Halloween display at Summit Motorsports Park, and the results were enjoyed by many. Here are the winners:

Silver: Dawn Ish and Dusty Power, Alice in Un-Wonderland
Bronze: Mike and Any Marshalko, Fun with Inflatables

Edelbrock Super Pro: Brandon Lange won after Damien Hazelton turned on the red light.
Edelbrock Pro: Michael Underwood motored to the win against Brian Cireddu.
Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike: David Liguori landed the win against Paul Samora.
Edelbrock Sportsman Delivered on Time by TFC Transportation: A.J. Buchanan arrived at the win over Jeff Pishner.
Stock: Steve Harper defeated Hayley Schultze.
Moser Engineering Top Gun: Kirby McLennen took the win over Brian Laney, who went -.014 red.
Butcher & Sons, Inc. Frantic Four: Scott Braskett beat Jamie Palmer.
Classic Run-Off: Michael Underwood raced to the win against David Liguori.
