Matt Dadas Wins JEGS Performance $30,000 Saturday at the Fall Fling

Bristol, TN — JEGS Performance $30,000 Thursday at the RAD Torque Fall Fling presented by Optima Batteries at Bristol Dragway was completed on Sunday afternoon with Matt Dadas picking up the last Fling payday of the 2022 season and his first ever Fling event win.

An early morning/afternoon rain delay interfered with the start time slightly, but the Fling team dried the track and prepared to start eliminations . Four run groups designated by Fling competition numbers allowed racers to know when they could expect to make their next run with the magnitude of cars on property.

The group of six drivers left standing was made up of Noah Pollard, Matt Dadas, Jamie Holston, Ray Miller III, Steve Law, and Bart Nelson. Dadas was .002 and earned the bye run in the semi-finals after defeating Pollard. Holston was .012 and two above his dial to advance over Miller III, while Law was .001 on the red side to allow Nelson to advance.

In the semifinals matchup to see who would meet Dadas in the final, Holston was .003 on the red side to hand the win over to Nelson who was .003 and dead-on four to advance.

The classic door car versus dragster final would be a faceoff between Matt Dadas and Bart Nelson. In hopes of winning his first ever Fling event, Dadas succeeds with a .016 total package to lock out Nelson at the hit and secure the JEGS Performance $30,000 Saturday/Sunday win.
