Thanksgiving Jr. Nationals Returns to BMP

The Thanksgiving Jr Nationals are coming up, November 25-27, 2022 at Brainerd Motorsports Park!

RINGGOLD, GA- Calling all Junior Dragster drivers! The Thanksgiving Jr. Nationals will be held November 25-27, 2022 at Brainerd Motorsports Park. The event will offer many opportunities for Junior Dragster racers to claim big money wins including an Off the Trailer 32-Car race, Two $5K main events, Sportsman class, Team Race, and Age Groups!

Off the Trailer Race

The $1,000-to-win Off the Trailer 32-Car shootout will take place Friday at 10AM. If enough interest they may do two shootouts. There will be no time runs, and no time slips. It is $60 to enter and the pre-entry opened on October 1st. Text driver’s age, name, and car number Amy Farrow at 423-802-1443 to claim your spot today!

$5K to Win Races

There will be two $5K to Win races, one on Friday & one on Sunday. The entry fee is $100 with a $50 buyback. Double entries are allowed but you must be able to make the call each time. They will separate 6-9 year olds, 10-11/12 year olds and 12/13 & older as long as possible or until the round of 8 or less where drivers will be placed on a ladder based on previous round reaction time. 

Team Race

The $5,000-to-win Team Race will take place on Saturday morning and each team will be made up of two 12/13+ year olds, two 6-11/12 year olds, and one wild card driver. The entry fee per team will be $500 with no buybacks. 

Age Groups

The Age Group races will be on Saturday and will be $300-to-win per age group. The age groups include: 6-9 year olds (no quicker than 11.90), 10-11/12 year olds (no quicker than 8.90), 12/13 & Up (no quicker than 7.90), and IHRA Elite licensed drivers (may dial no faster than 7.50). The entry fee will be $40.

Sportsman

If time allows, the Sportsman class will compete on Saturday for $1,000 to the winner and $300 to runner-up. The entry fee will be $50 with a $25 buyback.

Schedule

On Friday, a drivers meeting will commence at 9AM with the Off the Trailer race and time runs for the first $5K race starting at 10AM. On Saturday, there will also be a drivers meeting and Team Race chip draw at 9AM with all racing to follow. Finally, on Sunday, there will be new entry time runs at 11AM (car nor driver could have been down the track all weekend) with 1st round of the second $5K main event to follow.
