Underwood & Furr Clinch Victories at PDRA Maryland

Henry Underwood & Steve Furr visited the winners circle at the PDRA North vs. South Shootout at Maryland International Raceway.

BUDDS CREEK, MD – Henry Underwood (Elite TS) and Steve Furr (Elite TD) both visited the winners circle in Budds Creek on Saturday evening, making their trip home a little bit sweeter after the long weekend.

Joining them in the winners circle was Robbie Crenshaw (TS), Dickie Smith (TD), Donnie Yeatman (BB), Nyck Shirkey (PJD), and Gavin Wood (TJD).

PDRA North vs. South Shootout

Elite Top Sportsman – Henry Underwood

Henry Underwood defeated Buddy Perkinson in the final round to visit the winners circle. Perkinson had the starting line advantage, .002 to .022, but gave the stripe back handing the win over to Underwood who ran a 3.902 at 188 mph on his 3.89 dial-in.

Jeremy Creasman and Chris Nyerges were the semi-finalists.

Top Sportsman – Robbie Crenshaw

Robbie Crenshaw took home the trophy after defeating Dickie Smith in the final round. Smith turned it -.013, handing the win over to Crenshaw who was .010 and ran a 4.347 at 162 mph on the 4.34 dial-in.

Travis Butler and Nick Meloni were the semi-finalists.

Elite Top Dragster – Steve Furr

Steve Furr picked up another PDRA win after defeating Rikki Molnar in the final round. Furr had a huge starting line advantage, .015 to .081, and turned it into a win going a 3.953 at 175 mph on his 3.89 dial-in.

Tom Martino and Victor Puglia were the semi-finalists.

Top Dragster – Dickie Smith

Top Sportsman runner-up Dickie Smith defeated Frank Falter IV in the final round to take home the trophy. Smith had the starting line advantage, .003 to .028, and ran a 4.387 at 155 mph on the 4.37 dial-in.

Tisha Wilson and Chad Traylor were the semi-finalists.

Bracket Bash – Donnie Yeatman

Donnie Yeatman took home the Bracket Bash trophy after defeating Brandon Bachmeier in the final round. Bachmeier turned it -.016, handing the win over to Yeatman who was .002 and ran a 6.603 at 102 mph on the 6.60 dial-in.

Tim Heaps was the semi-finalist.

Pro Jr. Dragster – Nyck Shirkey

Nyck Shirkey defeated Chris Suppers to go to the winners circle. Shirkey had the starting line advantage, .049 to .082, and ran a 7.915 at 81 mph on the 7.90 index.

Arellyn Garner-Jones and Landon Cashwell were the semi-finalists.

Top Jr. Dragster – Gavin Wood

Gavin Wood defeated Ayden Tilghman in the final round to take home the trophy. Tilghman turned it -.042, giving the win to Wood who was .130 and ran a 9.090 at 71 mph on the 9.03 dial-in.

McKenna Halas and Carter Jackson were the semi-finalists.

Megan Strassweg

Megan Bohannon is a 25 year old Super Comp racer from Louisville, Kentucky. She races a 2015 American Dragster with a 648 Oakley Motorsports Engine. Growing up at the racetrack, drag racing is all she has known and never plans to give up on it. Megan works with TB Promotions in promoting their races and keeping entries straight, as well as keeping their social media pages updated.
