Huntzberry & Hancock Win at NHRA Carolina Nationals
Troy Huntzberry and Jeremy Hancock both picked up wins in Super Stock and Top Dragster at the NHRA Carolina Nationals.
CONCORD, NC – Troy Huntzberry and Jeremy Hancock led the leaderboard at the NHRA Carolina Nationals over the weekend, with Huntzberry picking up the Wally in Super Stock and Hancock in Top Dragster.

Joining them in the winners circle were Joe Carnasciale (Comp), Dan Fletcher (Stock), Robert Houston (SC), Billy Upton (SG), and Jerry Albert (TS).

2022 Betway NHRA Carolina Nationals
Competition Eliminator

Joe Carnasciale picked up his first career NHRA Wally after defeating David Eaton in the final round. They were just a coin flip apart on the line, but Carnasciale was able to hold off Eaton running a 8.946 at 152 mph on his 9.52 index.
Jared Kimbrough was the semi-finalist.
Stock Eliminator

Dan Fletcher captured his 106th career Wally after defeating Mitch Kight in the final round. Kight was .074 on the red side to hand the win over to Fletcher, who was .033 and coasted to an 11.449 at 105 mph.
Joseph Strickland and Greg Rowe were the semi-finalists.
Super Stock

Troy Huntzberry defeated Pete D’Agnolo in the final round to take home his first NHRA National event Wally. Huntzberry threw down a stellar .001 package to lock out D’Agnolo at the hit, who was .016 and .012 thou under his dial-in.
Jake Sealy was the semi-finalist.
Super Comp

Robert Houston took home his first NHRA National event Wally after defeating Dan Foley in the final round. Foley was .001 on the red side to hand the win over to Houston, who was .020 and coasted to the winlight.
Allison Prose was the semi-finalist.
Super Gas

Billy Upton defeated Ernie Knight in the final round to take home his fifth NHRA National event Wally. Upton had the starting line advantage, .012 to .026, and ran a 9.899 at 162 mph on the 9.90-index to pick up the trophy.
Steve Furr was the semi-finalist.
Top Dragster

Jeremy Hancock took home his first career NHRA Wally after defeating Clint Riley in the final round. Riley had issues on the line to hand the easy win over to Hancock, who was .034 and coasted to his win light! This win puts Hancock in the national points lead.
Jimmy Edwards and Sadie Glenn were the semi-finalists.
Top Sportsman

Jerry Albert won his fifth NHRA National event Wally after defeating Lawrence Willard in the final round. Willard had the starting line advantage, .020 to .049, but took too much stripe to breakout and give the win to Albert who ran a 6.611 at 208 mph on the 6.60 dial-in.
Sandy Wilkins was the semi-finalist.
