Lang & Hough Conquer the NHRA Northwest Nationals

Jody Lang and Dylan Hough both visited the winners circle at the Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals in Kent, Washington.

KENT, WA – Jody Lang and Dylan Hough sit at the top of the leaderboard from this past weekend at the NHRA Northwest Nationals. Lang picked up the Wally in Stock Eliminator, while Hough picked up the Wally in Super Comp.

Joining them in the winners circle were Ryan Priddy (Comp), Rod Stults (SS), Randy Sides (SG), Tony Hopkins (SST), Thomas Bayer (TD), and Shawn Herbst (TS).

2022 Fla-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals

Competition Eliminator

Ryan Priddy won his second NHRA National event Wally after defeating Bruce Schmiedl in the final round. Schmiedl turned on the red light by -.018 to hand the win over to Priddy who was .083 and coasted to the win.

Brandon Huhtala and Joe Loch were the semi-finalists.

Super Stock

Rod Stults picked up his first NHRA National event Wally after defeating Kyle Rizzoli in the final round. Stults had the starting line advantage, .014 to .022, and Rizzoli had problems down-track as Stults coasted to the win.

Rick McKinney was the semi-finalist.

Stock Eliminator

Jody Lang won last week in Super Stock, and picked up his 32nd NHRA National event Wally after defeating Ryan McClanahan in the final round. McClanahan turned on the red light by -.005 to hand the win over to Lang who was .018 and coasted to the win light.

Cody Lane was the semi-finalist.

Super Comp

Dylan Hough picked up his first NHRA National event Wally after defeating James Glenn in the final round. Glenn had the starting line advantage, .017 to .026, but Hough got to the stripe first and ran a 8.914 at 180 mph on the 8.90 index to pick up the win.

Randy Beck was the semi-finalist.

Super Gas

Randy Sides defeated Rodney Lee in the final round to pick up his first National event Wally. Lee turned on the red light to hand the win over to Sides who was .008 and ran a 9.923 at 173 mph to pick up the trophy.

Terry Wilcox and Brian Preszler were the semi-finalists.

Super Street

Tony Hopkins defeated David Wakefield to pick up his first NHRA National event Wally. Wakefield turned on the red light by -.003 to hand the win over to Hopkins who was .022 and ran a 10.910 at 147 mph.

Becky Brown and Josh Dalrymple were the semi-finalists.

Top Dragster

Thomas Bayer picked up his second NHRA National event Wally for the second week in a row after defeating Clinton Geise in the final round. Geise had the starting lien advantage, .002 to .017, but took too much stripe to give Bayer the win. Bayer ran a 6.254 at 224 mph on his 6.26 dial-in.

Kyle Hansen was the semi-finalist.

Top Sportsman

Shawn Herbst won his first NHRA National event Wally after defeating Joe Mellof in the final round. Mellof turned on the red light to give the easy win to Herbst who was .058 and coasted to victory.

Jan Christensen was the semi-finalist.

Megan Bohannon is a 25 year old Super Comp racer from Louisville, Kentucky. She races a 2015 American Dragster with a 648 Oakley Motorsports Engine. Growing up at the racetrack, drag racing is all she has known and never plans to give up on it.
