Lang & Theobald Win Denso NHRA Somona Nationals
Jody Lang & Tanner Theobald both visited the winners circle at the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals in Sonoma, CA.
SONOMA, CA – The Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals concluded over the weekend, where racers visited the winners circle to pick up the NHRA Wallys. Jody Lang (SS) and Tanner Theobald (SC) led the list of winners, where Lang picked up win #31 and Theobald picked up win #1 in their careers.

Joining them in the winners circle was Jim Cowan (Comp), Justin Jerome (STK), Evan Kowalski (SG), Thomas Bayer (TD), and Richard Okerman (TS).

2022 Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals
Competition Eliminator

Jim Cowan defeated Joe Mozeris to pick up his second NHRA National event Wally. Cowan had the starting line advantage, .059 to .125, and never trailed back for the win. Cowan ran a 8.052 at 166 mph on his 8.59 index in D/EA.
Ryan Priddy was the semi-finalist.
Super Stock

Jody Lang picked up National event win number 31 after defeating Kyle Rizzoli in the final round. Rizzoli had a slight starting line advantage, .022 to .036, but Lang got to the stripe first by .001 to go to the winners circle. Lang ran a 10.712 at 122 mph on his 10.69 dial-in.
Jimmy DeFrank was the semi-finalist.
Stock Eliminator
Justin Jerome defeated Bryan Phillips in the final round to take home his second NHRA National event Wally. Phillips turned on the red light by -.007 to hand the win over to Jerome who was .049 and coasted to a 11.133 at 103 mph.
Gregg Luneack was the semi-finalist.
Super Comp

Tanner Theobald picked up his first NHRA National event Wally after defeating Toby Payne in the final round. Theobald had the starting line advantage, .017 to .041, and ran a 8.922 at 16 mph on the 8.90 index to pick up the win.
Gabe Torres was he semi-finalist.
Super Gas

Evan Kowalski took home his fourth NHRA National event Wally after defeating Beau Hicks in the final round. Kowalski’s .020 total package shut out Hicks who was .026 at the hit.
Greg Ventura was the semi-finalist.
Top Dragster
Thomas Bayer won his eighth NHRA National event Wally after defeating Melisa Murphy in the final round. Murphy clicked it -.007 to give the win to Bayer, who was .000 and ran a 6.134 at 220 mph on his 6.15 dial-in.
Terry White and Christy Matteri were the semi-finalists.
Top Sportsman
Richard Okerman defeated Michael Henry in the final round to pick up his fourth National event Wally. Henry had the starting line advantage, .019 to .031, but slows on the top end and Okerman drove around him for the trophy. Okerman ran a 7.248 at 166 mph.
Gerald Bucklin was the semi-finalist.
