Speer, Mans, & Hough Conquer the Zoo

Brett Speer, Mike Mans, and Dylan Hough visited the winners circle at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd, MN.

BRAINERD, MN – Brett Speer, Mike Mans, and Dylan Hough all conquered “The Zoo” and visited the winners circle at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd, MN. Speer won in Competition Eliminator, Mans won in Super Stock, and Hough won in Top Dragster.

Joining them in the winners circle was Tracy Fairchild (STK), Tony Leonard (SC), Trevor Larson (SG), Brian Antony (TS), and Robbie Lowe (PSM).

Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals

Competition Eliminator

Brett Speer picked up his fifth NHRA National event Wally and his first in Competition Eliminator after defeating Bruno Massel in the final round. Speer had a slight starting line advantage, .038 to .041, and never trailed for the win. All five of Speer’s Wally’s have been in Brainerd!

David Eaton was the semi-finalist.

Stock Eliminator

Tracy Fairchild defeated Ron Feist in the final round to pick up his first NHRA National event Wally. Feist turned on the red bulb by -.014 to hand the easy win over to Fairchild, who was .061 and coasted to the winlight.

Glen DeMenge and Brett Speer were the semi-finalists.

Super Stock

Mike Mans picked up his fifth NHRA National Wally after defeating Wyatt Wagner in the final round. Mans had the starting line advantage, .050 to .070, and ran a 8.807 at 138 mph on his 8.80 dial-in.

Mike Cotton was the semi-finalist.

Super Comp

Tony Leonard defeated Craig Anderson in the final round to pick up his first NHRA National event Wally. Anderson had the starting line advantage, .010 to .015, but Leonard got to the stripe first running a 8.903 at 162 mph on the 8.90 index.

Madison Payne was the semi-finalist.

Super Gas

Trevor Larson took home his eighth NHRA National event Wall after defeating Kevin Dyck in the final round. Larson had the starting line advantage, .018 to .029, and on a double breakout ran a 9.890 at 164 mph on the 9.90 index for the win light.

Al Gavlovsky and Kevin Theobald were the semi-finalists.

Top Dragster

Dylan Hough won his second NHRA National event Wally, both this season, after defeating Anthony Bertozzi in the final round. Bertozzi had the starting line advantage, .013 to .019, but took too much stripe to breakout and hand the win over to Hough who ran a 6.823 at 191 mph on his 6.81 dial-in.

Ross Laris was the semi-finalist.

Top Sportsman

Brian Antony picked up his second NHRA National event Wally after defeating Michael Chitty in the final round. Antony had the starting line advantage, .014 to .027, and turned it into a win light getting to the stripe first by .011. He ran a 6.904 at 199 mph on the 6.87 dial-in.

Curt Fredrich was the semi-finalist.

Pro Stock Snowmobile

Robbie Lowe defeated Louie Wirbel in the final round to pickup the trophy. Lowe had the starting line advantage, .064 to .147, and turned that into a win light running a 5.014 at 134 mph.

Kyle Shilts and Edwin Wirbel were the semi-finalists.

Megan Bohannon is a 25 year old Super Comp racer from Louisville, Kentucky. She races a 2015 American Dragster with a 648 Oakley Motorsports Engine. Growing up at the racetrack, drag racing is all she has known and never plans to give up on it.
