3/16/22 – Welcome to the DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 List presented by Laris Motorsports Insurance. Each week we rank the best Jr. racers across the country based on their weekly performances. Nominations are accepted every Monday evening on our Facebook page.

DragChamp Jr. Racer Top 10 List

1 – Graeme Rufenacht

Graeme Rufenacht takes the number 1 spot after doubling up at the SouthWest Jr. Dragster Series taking home the win in Quick 16 and Bracket 330. Graeme has made 6 finals in the past 5 weeks winning 5 of them to earn the #1 spot this week.

2 – Landon Emmons

Landon Emmons snags the number 2 spot this week after making three final round appearances in two weeks. Emmons won the Advanced Jr. class at HRP a week ago and followed it up with a win (7.90 index) and a runner-up (Age Group) at the SouthWest Jr. Dragster Series race at Pine Valley. Landon also finished in the top 4 in points at Houston Raceway Park which qualifies him to run for the track championship at the NHRA Spring Nationals in April.

3 – Douglas Hughes

Douglas Hughes won at the Southern Big Buck Nationals then followed it up with a win at HRP and a runner-up the next week at the SouthWest Jr. Dragster Series race at Pine Valley.

4 – Braiden Owen

Braiden Owen flew in from Alaska to race the SouthWest Jr. Dragster Series at Pine Valley Raceway where he picked up a win (All Run Big Money) and a runner-up in (Quick 16) to secure his Top 10 spot.

5 – Carter Poplawski

Carter Poplawski rounds out the top 5 with a win in the 12-17 Age Group and a runner-up in Bracket 330 at Pine Valley Raceway at the SouthWest Jr. Dragster Series race. C-Pop also grabbed a semifinal finish last weekend at Xtreme Raceway. Impressive considering these are his first few races since moving up to the 7.90 class.

6 – Ty Gaynor

Ty Gaynor took the win at the Southwest Showdown Jr. Invitational for $1,500 at Tucson.

7 – Brian Price

Brian Price kicked of the season on a high note making four finals in four races. Price grabbed one win and three runner-ups in those finals to earn a Top 10 spot.

8 – Kayslee Price

Kayslee Price also started the year off right after making two final round appearances and winning on both occasions. Both finals came the The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

9 – Racie Pavlock

Racie Pavlock locked in a Top 10 appearance after making two finals in the last two weeks. Her first final was a runner-up finish at HRP which was followed by a runner-up in Age Group at the SWJDS race in Lufkin, Texas. She added a semifinal in 11.90 Index to wrap a successful two week run.

10 – Maddee Price

Maddee Price closes out the Top 10 list this week after making two finals at Las Vegas. In both finals Maddee raced her sister (Kayslee Price) with both finals ending in runner-up finishes.
