DragChamp Top 10 List

1 – Peter Biondo

The Terminator only races when he wins, lol. Peter Biondo made a rare appearance behind the wheel last weekend and promptly captured the $20,000 main event at the Numidia 150. Not sure how he does it but his winning percentage must be through the roof in recent years as he tends to only race a handful of times each year but seems to win every time he races.

2 – GABR Dream Team Winners

Although the weather hampered racing activities at the Great American Bracket Races Dream Team Challenge, Britt and Gaylon found a way to complete the event and crown new champions. Team Donny B, better known as Deez Nuts, raced to the Top Bulb team championship on Sunday. On the Bottom Bulb side, Team Daniel Riddle outlasted all comers to captured the championship. 3 – Lance Abbott

Lance Abbott swept the Top Sportsman class at the NHRA Division 4 Lucas Oil Series doubleheader at the Texas Motorplex to secure the three spot this week.

4 – Michelle Pelo

Michelle Pelo is fourth this week after doubling up at Galot. Michelle won two five grander’s on the weekend to make her first appearance on the Top 10 List.

5 – Jeff Longhany

Jeff Longhany won on back-to-back weekends to lock down the five spot this week. Longhany won Stock a week ago at the Virginia Nationals and followed with a Lucas Oil Series victory at Rockingham.

6 – Charlie Hamma

Charlie Hamma outlasted a 300-car field at the Gallstar Bracket Races Midwest Bracketfest to secure the $11,000 payday in his beautiful shorty dragster.

7 – GABR Gamblers Race Winners

Due to weather issues, the only individual race completed at the Dream Team Challenge was the Thursday Gamblers race. Jeremy Holcombe earned the $5K Top Bulb victory while Cameron Thomas won the $2K Bottom Bulb class.

8 – Jay Bunce & Jeff Lopez

Jay Bunce and Jeff Lopez enjoyed big weekends at the NHRA D4 Lucas Oil doubleheader in Dallas. Bunce won Super Gas in race 1 and earned a runner-up in Super Street in race #2. Lopez drove his Camaro Stocker to a win and a runner-up over the weekend to earn his spot on the Top 10 List.

9 – Brandon Thrasher

Brandon Thrasher makes his first appearance on the Top 10 List after winning the Top Bulb class on back-to-back weekends at Holiday Raceway.

10 – Nick Engler

Nick Engler gets a nod this week after capping off a tremendous couple of weeks. A week ago Engler raced to a win in Super Pro and a runner-up in Pro at Brainerd International Raceway. He followed that performance by scoring the $4K No-Box win at the Gallstar Bracket Race on Saturday. He then joined the Top Bulb field where he raced to a runner-up finish in the $11K final.
