Matt Dadas enjoyed a successful warm-up to the SFG Half Million when he ran himself in a $10K final at US131 over the weekend. Pretty sure the competition doesn’t want this guy to get on a roll going into the highest paying race of the season.

3 – David Bell

Double-0 David Bell grabs the three spot this week on the strength of his $15,000 victory at the Great American Red, White, and Blue race. A week earlier Bell had a $10K runner-up and semifinal finish at the Kentucky Bottom Bulb Bash

3 – Jordan Eaker

Joe Santangelo continues to shine on the NHRA national event trail. Competing in Stock and Super Stock, Santangelo came up one round short of the double after winning Stock at Norwalk before falling to Tyler Bohannon in the Super Stock final.

5 – Gordon Smith

Houston, Texas based Gordon Smith secured the #5 spot this week after doubling up in the 7.0 Index class at the No Prep Kings race at Houston Raceway. The win is his third Index victory in two weeks and his 7th of the season. I am officially crowning him the 7.0 King of Texas.

6 – Big $$$ Winners

There were a number of big money winners over the weekend including Chris “Boy Baby” Jones and Buddy “Forreals” Ferrell who both earned $20K victories at the GABR race in Holly Springs. Chevy Reeves takes the #8 spot this week after posting back-to-back late round finishes at the Oil City Classic. Reeves found himself in the $10K final one night and the next he posted a semifinal finish in the $30K race.

9 – Blake Combs

16 year old Blake Combs enjoyed a tremendous weekend at Capital City Motorsports Park. He kicked off the weekend with a win in the Footbrake class on Friday night. He returned to the Footbrake final on Saturday where he settled for a runner-up finish. On Sunday, he continued his winning ways taking two entries to 5 cars in Footbrake.
