GABR Stars and Stripes New Year’s Spectacular Coming to Gulfport

Make plans now to attend the Great American SDPC Raceshop Racing Engines Stars and Stripes New Year’s Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering at Gulfport Dragway on December 27-30, 2023.

GULFPORT, MS- What better way to bring in the New Year than some big money bracket racing! Britt Cummings, Gaylon Rolison, and Tommy Castanedo of Great American Bracket Races presents the SDPC Raceshop Racing Engines Stars and Stripes New Year’s Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering. The four-day event taking place December 27-30, 2023 at Gulfport Dragway will give racers multiple opportunities to win some big money and start 2024 off right.

Wednesday Test & Tune and Gamblers Races

To kick off the event, a $25 Test N’ Tune session will take place from 11am- 2pm. Following Test & Tune, there will be Gamblers Race for both Top Bulb and Bottom Bulb.

Top Bulb will be $2,500-to-win and $500 for the runner-up. The entry fee will be $75 with a 1st round buyback available for $50.

On the other hand, Bottom Bulb will also race for $2,500 with runner-up taking home $500. The entry fee will be $75 with a 1st round buyback available for $50.

Top Bulb Competition

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Top Bulb racers will have the chance to race for $10,000 with $2,000 going to the runner-up and $1,000 to the semi-finalists. The single race entry fee is $150/each or you can chose to pay the $400 weekend entry fee which gets you into all three. A 1st or 2nd buyback will be available for $120 and $100 round money starts with round 3 win.

If there are over 250 entries in round 1, the purse will jump to $15,000-to-win! Buybacks will only be 1st round if this happens.

Bottom Bulb Competition

In Bottom Bulb, racers will compete for $7,000-to-win each day with $1,000 going to runner-up and $500 to semi-finalists. $75 round money starts with round 3 winners. The single race entry fee is $120 or you can do the weekend entry fee for $300. The 1st or 2nd round buyback will be available if needed for $80.

Like in Top Bulb, if there are more than 150 entries in round 1, the purse will increase to $10,000-to-win. Buybacks will only be 1st round if this happens.

Junior Dragster Competition

Junior Dragster racers are also invited in on the fun and will race for $800-to-win on Friday and Saturday. The runner-up will earn $200, semi-finalists will take home $100 and the round of 8 will claim $50. Each race is $60 to enter and there will be a 1st round buyback available for $40. Ages 7-12 will run separate from 13-17 and the remaining 7-12 class winners will win $100 and will merge into the 13-17 class.

Super Team Challenge

The Super Team Challenge presented by Moser Engineering rewards the team- either made up of 2 Top Bulb racers & 1 Bottom Bulb racer or 1 Top Bulb racer and 2 Bottom Bulb racers- with the most round wins for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday combined. The first place team wins 70% of available purse and 2nd place team wins 30%. The entry fee per team is $300 and the same racer cannot be on multiple teams. There is also no max number of teams. Team registration opens on December 1, 2023 at 6pm at greatamericanbracketraces.com. There is a $50 deposit to register a team.
