Hastings Wins JEGS $50K Wednesday at the SFG Christmas Bash

Nick Hastings picked up the Wednesday JEGS $50K event win at the 4th Annual SFG Christmas Bracket Bash at Bradenton Motorsports Park.

BRADENTON, FL – Nick Hastings added another win to his impressive racing resume this past weekend at the 4th Annual SFG Promotions Christmas Bracket Bash at Bradenton Motorsports Park. The JEGS $50K originally started on Wednesday was completed mid-day on Thursday due to a large car count. The final round came down between Ohio’s Hastings and Florida based racer, Corky Markwart, with Hastings being crowned as the JEGS $50K race winner.

Semi-Finals

In the semi-finals, Hastings defeated Garrett Griffith in the S10. Griffith had the reaction time advantage but ran a 6.228 on a 6.23 to breakout. Hastings ran dead-on seven to head to the final round.

On the dragster side, Markwart took on Michael Valli. Markwart let go .000 perfect and ran dead-on nine to edge out Valli who broke out running a 4.578 on a 4.58 dial-in.

Finals

In the final round, Markwart ran dead-on seven but missed the tree. Hastings was .001 and ran six- above on his 6.13 dial-in to take the win.
