Sean Serra Memorial Drag Race Coming Soon to Darlington

Over 139,000 in total payouts over three big days of racing at the Inaugural Sean Serra Memorial Drag Race June 9-11, 2023 at Darlington Dragway.

HARTSVILLE, SC- Mark your calendars for the Inaugural Sean Serra Memorial Drag Race June 9-11, 2023 at Darlington Dragway. Over the past year, we have all grieved the loss of one of Bracket Racing’s very best, Sean Serra. Big Block Promotions started planning this race last year as a way to remember and honor him. This event will feature a special $13,900-to-win race on Friday in addition to two $20,000-to-win races on Saturday and Sunday. There are also event extras such as the golf cart showdown, racer party, firework display, and a best burnout & wheelie competition.

Main Events

The opening race of the weekend will be L&L Transmission and Axle Service $13,900-to-win race that will take place on Friday. Runner-up will earn $7,000 and the semi-finalists will win $3,000. Saturday and Sunday will each have a $20,000-to-win race. FuelTech and TRC Custom Carbs and Performance Parts are the respective day sponsors. Runner-ups will receive $4,000 and semi-finalists will take home $1,500.

Double entries are allowed for driver or car (2x max), Footbrake will be run separate until down to one, Door Cars are also separate until ladder. The MVP winner will receive a custom painted MVP helmet and there will be round prizes each round. All event rules can be found at seanserramemorial.com.

Entry Fees

A single day entry is $200 or you can do a weekend entry for $600. You can also get a weekend double entry for $1,150. There will be a 1st round re-entry available for $160.

Event Extras

Thursday night will feature the Overkill Motorsports Golf Cart Showdown and it will have 100% payback and live coverage. The winner will take home 50%, Runner-up 25%, and Semi-finalists $12.5%. The entry fee is $25 and there can be up to 4 entries per cart. Saturday night will feature a racer party at 9PM, fireworks, and a best burnout and wheelie competition.

Gate Fees

$20 per day or $40 for the weekend. Kids 12 and under are FREE!
