Underwood & Furr Win PDRA East Coast Nationals

Henry Underwood and Steve Furr both visited the winners circle at the PDRA East Coast Nationals at Galot Motorsports Park.

DUNN, NC – Henry Underwood and Steve Furr conquered the PDRA East Coast Nationals at Galot Motorsports Park to pick up the trophies in Elite Top Sportsman and Elite Top Dragster, respectively.

Joining them in the winners circle were Zach Houser (TS), Justin Fordyce (TD), Brayden Davis (PJD), McKenzee Hogan (TJD), and Michael Morton (BB).

PDRA Northern Nationals

Elite Top Sportsman

Henry Underwood defeated Bryan LeFlam in the final round to pick up the first trophy of the 2023 season. Underwood had the starting line advantage, .007 to .045, and ran a 3.842 at 191 mph on his 3.83 dial-in.

Chris Nyerges and Donny Urban were the semi-finalists.

Elite Top Dragster

Steve Furr picked up the first win of the 2023 season after defeating Larry Roberts in the final round. Furr had the starting line advantage, .014 to .023, and ran a 3.867 at 177 mph on his 3.79 dial-in.

Russ Whitlock and Ashley Strickland were the semi-finalists.

Top Sportsman

Zachary Houser defeated Mark Reese in the final round to pick up the trophy in Top Sportsman. Reese had the starting line advantage, .029 to .045, but took too much stripe to breakout and hand the win over to Houser. Houser ran a 4.323 at 177 mph on his 4.19 dial-in.

Vince Fourcade Sr. was the semi-finalist.

Top Dragster

Justin Fordyce defeated Jimmy Albertson in the final round to take home the trophy. Albertson had the slight starting line advantage, .002 to .009, but Fordyce got to the stripe first and ran a 4.352 at 152 mph on his 4.34 dial-in

Ken Bachelor was the semi-finalist.

Pro Jr. Dragster

Brayden Davis picked up the trophy after defeating Danika Miles in the final round. Davis was .001 and ran a 7.962 on the 7.90 index at 78 mph to visit the winners circle. Davis also picked up the win in Pro Nitrous Motorcycle, making for a very impressive double-up.

Alyssa Tilghman and Will Creasman were the semi-finalists.

Top Jr. Dragster

McKenzee Hogan defeated Wyatt Stanley in the final round to pick up the win. Hogan had the starting line advantage and turned it into a win light running an 8.912 at 71 mph on the 8.90 index.

TJ Harvey and Nathan Coon were the semi-finalists.

Bracket Bash

Michael Morton took home the win after defeating Richard Payne in the final round. Morton had the starting line advantage, .014 to .022, and ran a 6.480 on his 6.47 dial-in at 102 mph.

Michael Jackson was the semi-finalist.

Megan Strassweg

Megan Bohannon is a 25 year old Super Comp racer from Louisville, Kentucky. She races a 2015 American Dragster with a 648 Oakley Motorsports Engine. Growing up at the racetrack, drag racing is all she has known and never plans to give up on it. Megan works with TB Promotions in promoting their races and keeping entries straight, as well as keeping their social media pages updated.
