Donny Urban and Steve Furr both visited the winners circle at the PDRA Mid-Atlantic Showdown at Virginia Motorsports Park.

NORTH DINWIDDIE, VA – Donny Urban and Steve Furr conquered the PDRA Mid-Atlantic Showdown at Virginia Motorsports Park to pick up the trophies in Elite Top Sportsman and Elite Top Dragster, respectively.
Joining them in the winners circle were Chad Traylor (TS), TG Paschal (TD), Brayden Davis (PJD), Gavin Wood (TJD), and Rick Hustwayte (BB).

PDRA Northern Nationals
Elite Top Sportsman
Donny Urban defeated Chris Nyerges in the final round to pickup the trophy. Nyerges had problems on the line to hand the win over to Urban.
Tim Lawrence and Scott Weis were the semi-finalists.
Elite Top Dragster
Steve Furr continued his dominating 2023 season after defeating Kellan Farmer in the final round. Furr had the starting line advantage, .009 to .042, and ran a 3.866 at 179 mph on his 3.85 dial-in.
Kathy Fisher and Larry Roberts were the semi-finalists.
Chad Traylor defeated Brandon Miller in the final round to pick up the trophy in Top Sportsman. Traylor had the slight starting line advantage, .010 to .017, and ran a 4.442 at 150 mph on his 4.43 dial-in.
Al Davidowski was the semi-finalist.
TG Paschal defeated Ken Batchelor in the final round to take home the trophy. Paschal and Batchelor were identical .009 up front, but Paschal ran a 4.306 at 159 mph on his 4.29 dial-in to pick up the trophy.
Al Miller was the semi-finalist.
Pro Jr. Dragster
Brayden Davis picked up the trophy after defeating LJ Lewis in the final round. Davis was .049 and ran a 7.906 on the 7.90 index at 8 mph to visit the winners circle.
Chloe Geryes and Ayden Christian were the semi-finalists.
Top Jr. Dragster
Gavin Wood defeated Rowan Parlett in the final round to pick up the win. Wood had the starting line advantage and turned it into a win light running an 8.963 at 72 mph on his 8.95 dial-in.
Ayden Tilghman and Brayden Crayton were the semi-finalists.
Rick Hustwayte took home the win after defeating Eden Lukhard in the final round. Hustwayte had the starting line advantage, .003 to .022, and ran a 4.811 on his 4.80 dial-in at 141 mph.
Jeff Grant was the semi-finalist.
